Enjoying this type of content? Well, if you're new here, then don't be shy to subscribe and maybe even turn on notifications because I keep posting stuff like this every week!
Disclaimer: Most of the weathering products I use in my videos such as Ammo by Mig Jimenez, AK-Interactive, Wilder and VMS were sent to me for free, but with no obligations to promote them. I received a lot of them a long time ago, even before I started this channel. VMS is also one of my Patreon supporters. Being independent from big and exclusive sponsorship deals and showing you a wide variety of different brands and products was one of the founding ideas of this channel and I will always stand by this.

To me, the weekly show formula is better than waiting weeks to a big video. This one was another masterclass by the way.

I agree. I would rather have shorter weekly content than a long video every 2-3 weeks. I personally just don't care for the really long videos. I usually end up skipping through the slower parts of a build.

@@kaferrat yeah i find myself doing that a lot on Plasmo videos
I like the variation of subjects you've got going on right now. I like the multi-episode tank-specific builds, but I love the sprinkling of "one-offs" like this one in between, just to showcase some techniques or even do stuff that wouldn't easily fit in with armoured models.

The weekly formula is great. More smaller passion projects like this are so welcomed
I simply love your work Please do more of these type of dioramas
The streaking on the sides of this looks amazing, it compliments the chips nicely! I also think that this is some of the best plant life that you have ever made, it looks just like the Forrest near my house! I quite like these different videos, as it shows a wide range of applications for your techniques. I can certainly agree that it is satisfying to have one video to cover an entire project, I think that you should do what you think is best. A happy and comfortable modeler can produce the best work, so if you need to step away from an upload schedule sometimes, it would be okay. Keep up the great work!
I like all your videos, any format, I always look forward to my Friday's Night Shift!
Awesome work as usual. Love the non-tank subject too.
I definitely prefer these newer "full length" videos. And I also really like the idea of you doing more types of vehicles, not just tanks!
This is exactly why I love your channel. You don't just use the same techniques over and over. You are always trying something different. Thank you
Personally, I watch because of your skills and personality so whether it's a complete project or a chapter of a longer build doesn't really matter to me -- a new Night Shift post means a fun half hour.

This is so true to me
Please make more dioramas like this! I love the end product, and the format in terms of time and detail was perfect for me. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful model! A tiny side note for future reference, the first thing to rust away on abandoned cars is usually the floor.

Especially Beetles!
Definitely not what i was expecting but i have had beetles from the 60’s before so this will be cool
Really hoop to see more like this…….I would be proud to have this sitting in my living room..
This isn't model making....it's art.
Id say weekly vids are definetly more enjoyable since i always make popcorn to watch these every friday
Love this! Something completely left field and totally unexpected, but remarkably executed nonetheless. Well done! 👏
Martin: your videos never fail to make me smile - but when the big brush came out at 17:45 that produced a proper laugh! Thank you, for your skills, your teaching and your humility. PS. Your garden must be just a crater now, as you've taken all the soil, dust, leaves and twigs for dioramas!

I Was Thinking The Same About His Garden/ NOW CRATER 🤣🤣🤣
Small tip. When I add the isopropyl alcohol to seal the dirt I put it in a small spray bottle so I can cover the whole diorama in a couple sprays. But as usual you’ve created a masterpiece!
For me one complete video is preferred, unless it has a complex diorama. Then its one for the subject and one for the diorama. Again, a matter of complexity. If it is a tutorial type, make a series, break it down per subject/objective. (Short videos into a playlist) Importantly, do what you enjoy most. Take as much time as you need. I am here for the QUALITY RESULTS you have put out over the years. Don’t really care about the frequency. Of course, more videos the better 😋 Keep em coming!
I love this style, im a big nerd for rotting abandoned vehicles! A subtle thing that would be very cool, is to have a figure with tools working on it, either to salvage parts from it or to getting it back to the road again
I loved this! The vivid, almost "cartoony" look is amazing. Also, not painting the underbust!
You are the Bob Ross of armor modelers with less happy accidents, your videos are strangely soothing I never miss one. Make a tutorial on the finish of your studio wall, it looks like you applied some armor techniques in there😁
this is really cool and charming. there is something really mystic and beautiful about abandoned, overgrown vehicles and structures
I really enjoyed this video as a change of pace. For one thing, it's nice having one self-contained video every now and then, but it's also nice to have something radically different. I'd actually like to see you do a plane or helicopter model tbh. The projects that end up with several videos are nice to get a more detailled look at your work process and how to get certain effects, but a short, sweet video that gives you payoff in one go is nice when one craves a bite-sized Night Shift video.
I love this. would you consider doing a large vehicle like a bus or something with water in the top and plant life?
No way, how fun! Not a tank, I love that!
Follow your muse with the format, Uncle. Whatever you do, we'll keep watching.
This was a fantastic video! I really liked the finished diorama.

I agree
The earth effects are astounding! I would love to see many more of this!
I really like the post-apocalyptic look. I would love to see other ruin scenes, perhaps a WWII tank wreck scene set in 1946 - 48 after nature has taken over. The idea of a civilian poking around the wreck would be exciting as well.
I am liking the short-format single weeklies. Not every subject will fit into this style, but it adds nice variety from week to week.
This was awesome! I'd love to see more like this
I am 16 right now, and hearing that your early projects were not exactly stunning, due to inexperience and low budgets is very uplifting considering you are SO good at making models. U inspire me
I think you nailed it!! A weekly format would be smashing. Love the commentary
I prefer watching the entire build from start to finish. More, please!
This is absolutely mindblowing work. On so many levels I do not even know where to start to describe how fantastic this looks like👏🔥
Amazing, amazing, as always. Your highly stylised, creative and acutely artistic projects are always fantastic. The detail is stunning.
This is fantastic, please do more like this!
Oh yes, love weathering the cars........... 👍👍 Great vid 🙂
Idea: one big diorama that has holes where you can insert the smaller dioramas you’ve made.
Gonna be honest. I've always been hugely impressed by your projects but I think this is by far my favorite. Something about the techniques all being distinct in the final product while still blending beautifully together. I really love this.

Hear, hear! Master class indeed!
The attention to detail is unbelievable. Getting your channel recommended was a true blessing!
Nádhera, konečně se někdo odhodlal k pořádnému auto vraku. Best!!!
this is going to be very educational for me...:) for me I prefer those chapter by chapter shows, it feels more exciting. It's like tv series that makes you excited and look forward for the next episode, Imo...:)
Martin, you can make videos whatever way you wish: weekly episodes or one start to finish. Whichever way you do it, I'm constantly amazed at your artistry and inventiveness. Thank you for another entertaining video!

So true. I'm just happy to get to witness it. It's very interesting and inspiring. "All good things to those who wait."
I've seen all Nightshift videos, and this is my new favourite.
C'est absolument magnifique. Bravo. J'ai bientôt 70ans et je suis fan de votre travail. Cordialement. J.Gallarati.
If we've seen a car now can we expect a plane sometime soon?
An interesting diorama idea i have is to make a crashed airplane in a forest, after seeing this diorama i think it would look amazing if you made something similar
Loved how you achieved volume with moss by layering the foam AND the paint, it makes it pop. Also, adding 'mistery plants' was a very clever way to introduce some crisp verticals into the composition. Good eye! You could go for full feature videos instead of episodical. However, using time stamps (or chapters) would then be in order for all those who are into the "I don't have the time" hype. I'm glad you went for a non-weapon this time, too.
This kind of content is why I build. I love it and really enjoy the full build in one episode. More please!!
Ya I'm more of a once a week video than having a long one once in a while, this was incredibly good you should do more like this.
Always enjoy any video you choose to post, in whatever time frame you prefer.
one of the best weathered nature dioramas I have ever seen...bravo...more please you have influenced me to build something like this, thank you.
I definitely love these longer form all in one videos! hope you make more
I think this is the best of your projects. Absolutely stunning
so so nice - loving the more vivid and stylised look to the groundcover and moss!
Beautiful my man! My dad, former car mechanic was watching, too. When you damaged the fenders, he literally said: „You can get them as replacement!“ 😂 See ya!
Personally prefer the "complete projects when theyre done" approach but the weekly videos are good too!
I really like the weakly videos, it is always nice to know that there will be a video on Friday evening after a tough week of school. Although I appreciate longer videos as well sometimes. It has always been worth the wait!
I like the longer vids, but as long as we get one a week I'm happy with that
I really enjoy seeing the whole build and painting in one episode.
Love it. The military themed models and dioramas are awesome, but seeing this sort of thing every now and then would be really cool
I think that you should create video's that you want Martin. This new format is a great idea, but the past history has been very successful also. I honestly think that it's your building/painting/ presentation that is the attraction. As an armour builder myself, I love the subject change, and this was very helpful as a learning tool.
I loved the format of this episode and the subject matter made a welcome change. More like this please Mr. Nightshift! 👍👍
Thanks for show civilian models, I weathering 1:50 models (excavator, dumper, etc), and for me, is a fantastic master class that aid in my process. Very grateful, thanks.
I.... LOVE IT! I wouldn't mind more rotten and rusted builds
This is the perfect scene, please do more of these.
I watch to learn techniques. I think this, and the buildings in the dioramas are the best aspects of your videos.
Outstanding result !
I totally loved this video. I am a O scale model railroader and am currently planning on modeling a WWII U.s. Army fuel truck that has been abandoned ever since the war you have greatly helped me visualize how to make it happen. Thanks for sharing your talent. From: Arlin, Michigan, USA.
I am begging you to do more of these! Absolutely loved this video
This video couldn’t have dropped at a better time for me thanks so much for making it. I’m just about to try creating a broken down rusty bumblebee that fell in the Forrest during a battle decades ago. Loved this video 10/10 as always.
I love overgrown dioramas like this and the contrast of decay and life! Water, rusting remnants of technology, lush plants, ferns, slime molds.. Yesplease!
I definitely like the weekly videos. Something to look forward to. I'd also love to see you tackle a softskin, non-tank, wheeled, military vehicle.
Yes please do more of such projects. For me, I always like variation in topics and techniques!
video every week, because your stuff is my traditional friday nght rendezvous !!!
I love this Diorama, wouldn't have thought that I'd enjoy a Diorama like that so much. Definetly enjoy the newer videos more! :)
What a wonderful build. As always, your skill is incredible, and only surpassed by your humble attitude! I enjoy having regular videos from you, but the most important thing is to do what inspires you.
9:53 this looks like an actual painting if you pause it, amazing
I like this format a lot. Wouldn't mind you showing off more of these techniques on some old world war relics left to rot in the desert, jungle, or forest like this.
I love this! It turned out wonderful. Such detail, hell, you could set it up in a faux window to change perspective and scale and make people think it was just outside. Thank you for sharing this. The paper leaves and painted paintbrush bristles, a masterstroke.
Imao... longer videos and a deep information about we love. Time is needed to see techniques from begin to the end of application. Half hour is my favourite long view. Thanks for sharing your skills over the years, is very appreciate.
Stunning! Love it. You should do a diorama series of vignettes, "150 years after humans are gone"
This is one of my favourite KZread Channels… congratulations on what you have achieved 🎉
As for me, I'm good with longer waiting. There is always a lot of stuff to do in the free time, and it's always enjoyable to just sit with some snacks and beer and watch a long video :)
I much prefer the weekly. They're a great start to my Saturdays as I'm getting ready for a later start at work, which is what I'm doing right now. From a modelling perspective I also find it easier when using these as tutorials if they are split smaller as you have been doing Love your work and ill always been watching your content no matter what you do
dude you killed it! im a car guy and i have been in the woods many times finding rusty gold, this looks very realistic. feels like a lost abandoned car like i would come across.
Well since I had a 1965 beetle gifted to me by my father about a month, I'm into modeling and wargames, and KZread's algorithm based on phone searches allowed this video to pop up today. I liked it and I'm definitely going to share this with some fellow VW and VW Beetle enthusiast. Also you got yourself a new subscriber.
WOW ! What a GREAT job ! I have to admit that I've owned several VW Beetles in my life(I'm 67) - and one of 'em was an off-white(almost yellow) one with LOTS of rust. I remember watching the VW slowly become popular during the 1960s and it never seemed to change; they just slowly, incrementally improved. I also loved the German concept of a utilitarian "People's Car." One of my favorite VWs was one that I owned in Germany, when I was stationed there with the US Army. It was very light yellow, like the one in your video, and the doors were red-oxide primer, with softball-sized light-grey primer dots where the trim clips had been, so it was named "Spot." They're STILL one of my favorites.
I like both videos! Episodes for big projects, but these compact videos with smaller projects are great too :)
I would appreciate more videos like this. Thanks nightshift!
personally i like the weekly episodes, because as much as i love plasmo's videos there is too long of a gap between his and it almost makes me forget about him, until i get a notification and i dont want to loose interest in your channel, because you have some really good techniques and are good at teaching them.
I like to "listen" to youtube while I work, so I'm open to longer episodes. You make great content! I like how you have tried doing new and interesting builds on various armour subjects - and challenge yourself in the process!
Great Build I am a civilian modeller i didn't like military stuff but i like your dioramas and i can learn much this is why i like your videos and i am very happy you build this civilian model
Thanks to this video I learned how to properly make rust and rot effects.
Your model expertise is equaled only by your video skills. Go with your passion and interest in the video process. It will in itself motivate you to greater heights of creativity!
On the contrary Martin, I would love to see a lot more of these types of models. I've tried to make a significant portion of my "stash" these non ordinary kits.Thank you!
Really loved this video. It's nice to see a whole project end to end in 20 minutes, good effects on a small scence. I love the insane detail of your usual content of course, it's all just nice to see examples of lots of different techniques.
