    Yes, a few min north of Lakeview. I called this southern because I just spent 3 days in the Owyhee Canyonlands, and that felt very SE.

    this is called an artisan well...water coming to the surface under it's own pressure...

    An artesian would not pulse intermittently under pressure. It would flow from the CONSTANT pressure of the aquifier.

    That's not southern Oregon. South eastern Oregon maybe but not southern Oregon.

    The geysers didn't exist until an early landowner dug three wells for fresh water. All three erupted. Two of them stopped, but this one kept going. Every 90 seconds.

    @timrprobocom I didn't know that story, thanks for providing the history because it is kinda odd. I read about it on a sign about 15 min north of it and turned around to go find it. There's no mention of it on the freeway. You gotta keep your eyes open for these gems!
