Old Newcastle under Lyme in Old Photographs.

Fascinating record of a thriving and bustling town in the mid sixties, I'd be nine and remember it well. The loss of the Michelin, the coal, ceramic and steel industry has hit the whole of Stoke and Newcastle very hard, next to nothing left in Newcastle now, so quite why the council are buildin a new car park is a bit of a mystery, thanks for the upload, ironic that the buildings that replaced the Municipal hall have both now gone.
