I wouldn't use that quote without the second half, after all, its like saying "this happens" and leaving put the "because...." Otherwise, i completely agree

"Just picture a depressed onion cutting itself" is legitimately the single funniest line I've ever heard in all of comedy, & I don't see enough people talk about it. Just initially picturing the visuals is already kinda funny, but it's infinitely funnier the more you try to actually break it down. Cutting onions causes people to cry, so this onion will only continue to make itself more sad inherently. It's already cutting itself because of said depression like an emo. Then there's the fact that even breaking down the joke is a joke *_in and of itself_* because the joke has *_LAYERS_* like a FUCKING ONION DOES! It all comes full circle with this joke lmao.

This song had an evolution in his latest special Inside. It was called "Comedy" and iif you listen to them one after the other you get an idea about how Bo sees comedy. "Art is dead" also seems related.

Perfect example of him saying tragedy will be exclusively joked about is to just look at the internet. Whenever a tragedy happens, you will always find people joking about it online. I feel like comedy is often a coping mechanism for people.

Bo is usually self deprecating and speaks about himself sarcastically but he really doesn't believe he is some genius despite being of the most defining figures of this generation. I watched his content in high school when he was done with high school and getting signed on by a comedy label really young

Some stuff, some artists -- gets full on blocked world-wide. Haven't tried that one yet. But, I have quite a few that went to the dumpster due to Copyright stuff. Gets to be disheartening at times.

Another great reaction and another banger as the kids say by Bo. Banger is like a really popular song and can be synonymous with modern (for its time and timeless.

Hi, idk if you still do bo reactions, but if you do I just wanted to recommend Art Is Dead. It's from his early years (like 2009 or 2010) and it's really interesting because it kinda starts to show you how he's already starting to struggle with the fame. This was the first special I watched from Bo and this song is about 5 minutes into the show. And my skepticism about his comedy vanished for good after the line “Cause I didn’t say anything. I just thought to myself: Oo this is gonna be sad” Then the fake crying and then the use of the word “bros” in the line “The world is so sad, bros” 😂😂 he’s a genius

When I was 13 or 14 I was visiting my great grandfather with my family, and he confused me for my uncle and thought I had recently gotten married, and wanted me to have a glass of wine with him. About 30 minutes later he was terrified at me and my younger siblings drinking juice because he thought it was wine. At the time we were mostly just concerned and sad, but at his funeral it was something for everyone to laugh about. I think comedy, in many forms, is a great way to deal with grief, anxiety and just sadness or emptiness in general. The difficult part is getting into a mood where you can actually enjoy the funny things.

I love his overall point. But when your mentioned a funeral, I remembered my dad's about 5 years ago, his work mates all came from work. They were gas men, people living on the street must have been sh*tting themselves as 10 gas vans park outside. I know he would have loved the humour of it. It was a tragic comedy of moments that always makes me smile in a sad way.

Oh .. It sucks SO BADLY at times. I have several reactions that I spent hours upon hours working on -- only to get Blocked World Wide by a label. The majority at least say -- "Copyright-protected content found. The owner allows the content to be used but you can’t monetize your video." ... At least THEN -- we can all have a bit of fun. The extra crappy part though -- for EVERY video that comes up as being "Ineligible", even the most basic links to something like a merch store are removed. BUT, the "Copyright" holders will monetize the reaction.

This might just be rumor.... but I can almost guarantee seeing an interview with Bo where the instances he describes in this song (specifically the man who got hit by a train, and the kid with the ice cream falling on a corpse) were real instances he had seen throughout his life. Again. This could all just be a weird dream I had.... but I think he really saw those things. Dunno about the rest of the stories tho lol. And he said he was a child when he saw the man get hit by the train. So sad!!! 😅😂 I hope I didn't make that up lol. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
