@@zigginzag584 Its not as if people underwent diagnostics for lung cancer many years ago. Instead what lurked around involved tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases. It wasnt pleasant. This scene though! The eerie spooky ambience along with the artisan hand crafted styling. Love it but I think I shall stay in modern times.

I like this one the best of all of this genre, because nothing is overpowering. The rain sound is muted, the thunder far away, the crackling of fire present but not dominating, but most of all - there is someone there. I hear the click of a footstep, the rustle of pages turning, sometimes the scratch of a pen writing, and every now then occasionally the gurgle of water pouring a hot drink. More than anything, it makes me feel that with one or two steps, I can walk in there and shut the door on the world.

Sounds like an old sanctuary for books of all kinds, mysteries, adventures, fantasy, grimores of spells. I feel like the sound belongs to a time with no social media, when the fresh cold of the night keeps you awake, but kept away by the fireplace and the only thing that exists are words between the pages in a lovely, peaceful night.

I can only get that if I imagine it as some sort of absolute behemoth of a ship. Like some alternate reality/timeline/world where they were able to build something like that back then. Maybe a combination of engineering/physics and magic.

I would probably curl up by the fire, with a novel that tells of dragons, heroes and knights. I would sip at mint tea as I turn over each page. As I get deeper and deeper into the book, only a loud crack of thunder would tear me from the pages.

Could have sworn there was a fire,even sat here thinking,fire place raging in a library,bit strange,and wasn't this originally called library of mystery's ,i think Someone's been putting herbs in my Infusions lol.

Oh now this is really good.... I love libraries and I particularly like little secluded corners or cozy aisles that maybe aren't frequented much, with older books in them. The audio on this one really has nice nuance and balance! Great work, thank you!

This is the best library ambiance and I went through a lot! Great work!!!! I would love to see a library with people in it, sitting in a chair or far away table, or even without people but with some more open space perhaps? But it’s fine as it is too 😊

This is by far one of the best ambient mixes you have. You hear people in the library with you and the nature outside isn't overpowering. Thank you for creating this content.

My favorite so far. What makes this one of the best ambience videos is that the rain/storm and/or fireplace does not overtake the other sounds in the room. I love the sounds of someone writing, flipping pages, moving about, and working. It's like someone staying up in the library with me while I nap on a cozy chair.

Now I want to make a study room like this.

I found a cheap effective cheat book shelf wallpaper feature wall, real book shelf against it with your own fave books, few electric candles so it doesn't end in tears jobs a gooden.I sit regularly now in my own creation quaffing sherry bathed in marijuana fumes and I'm deeply contented .Hope this helps.

the booky smell is best achieved using old hardback books from libraries or used bookshops. candles are also useful in creating the atmosphere

i love the deep sound tones in it. The dull roar of the thunder ,and the rain isn't like nails down a chalk board but a perfect premium blend of how rain does sound just harmonizes perfectly with all other surrounding ambient activities... it massages the ears and soul

I would look for the most ancient book and be hypnotized by it's wisdom. The peaceful sounds of the storm would entrance me as I sip on my best wine and consume every nuance in the room...

Would absolutely love being inside a library like this, it has a dark mysteriousness to it, spellbinding.. and spend hours looking through shelves of books!

@@unknownorigin7433 I think you meant that light exposure affects melatonin production and the ability to fall asleep. Bright light filters thru the eyes influencing the pineal gland which affects melatonin production. Melatonin is released as darkness occurs. Melatonin is suppressed by exposure of eyes to bright light. As such dim the screen brightness. If the screen has a blue light filter, use it. This video is too good not to fall asleep to it. I wish it was 10 hours! ❤🧡💛💚

The golds & browns in these classic libraries are so cosy and calming. It makes you want to pick up a book and read it right there in the ambience of that very environment.

I know you commented this ages ago, but I hope you know this made me smile. You sound like a lovely person to share a cup of tea (with a dash of magical elixir slipped in, of course) with!

You know what I hate about these high quality ambient videos? I can get so sucked into them, leaving them on loop, not wanting to listen to anything else or go anywhere else, all the while imagining what else may be there in that place. I love it. So many details, must have taken quite a while to put together. Excellent work and I thank you. Editing to say that I have every intention on making this particular piece a regular visit for me. Really very fantastic work. Easy to simply let the imagination run, here.

I owned a used book store for five years in the 90's, lots of great memories from then.

I like having this in the background while staying home in this dark time. So, while I work, I hear the soothing sounds of this warm and comfortable library, safe from danger, my own space, where I am in control!

They do in the UK! Try University of Oxford's The Bodleian Library (1602, but incorporating the even older Duke Humfrey's Library 1450, restored 1598), The Old Library, St John's College (1623), Radcliffe Camera (1749). At Cambridge University - the Wren Library (1695), The Old Library, Jesus College (1590). Also the Chained Library at Hereford Cathedral, the oldest subscription library in the UK - the Leeds Library (1768), the oldest private library in Scotland - Leighton Library (1687), Chetham's Library in Manchester, where btw Karl Marx started writing The Communist Manifesto (1653), The London Library (1841), The Signet Library Edinburgh (1822), John Rylands Library Manchester (1900), Gladstone's Library, North Wales (1902). Then there are libraries in stately homes (many of which can be visited), some of the best are Knole House (1455), Houghton Hall (library 1720s), Blickling Hall (1616, library created 1740s), Alnwick Castle (1096, later library), Traquair House, Scotland (1500s, library 1700s). Just a small selection, there are many more!

The Gandalf's library :) Olds books, wood room vintage, candles, good atmosphere.

A glass of bourbon, relaxing in a recliner thumbing through a book, taking in all the scents from the books and candles, listening to the rain and thunder and taking in all the soft page turning from others enjoying the books........love it!!

This place is just magical.

I wish I had grown up in this library. I would have had THE BEST childhood. Now I'm 14 and I'm already planning my funeral arrangements. Life is just sad

I find it really relaxing when I hear the background of a distant thunder storm...but also with the sounds of books being used...or writing in the video.

I once had a dream where I was in this massive old Oxford style library at night. It had a very interesting design, because there was a raised floor in the center where there were tables and armchairs for reading and studying . High above were skylights on which rain was pattering, and dim, yellowish lamplight shone from behind shelves and in old dusty corners. Ahhhh, I wish I didn't wake up

One of my favorite ambiences .... I could spend hours there reading and looking around while taking a break.

I love the creaks and the sound of paper, and then there's also the other occasional sounds as if there were more people around, makes it sound really interesting.

This ambience reminds me when I used to work as a shelver at my library. I loved whenever it rained because it just make the work so much more relaxing~ Nothing but you with your cart and papers, the books and the shelves, and the pouring rain outside~❤

This is either the first video or one of the first of this genre I ever clicked on and it’s a favorite of mine that I always come back to.

This is pure BLISS! As a one of a kind, ex librarian, I say..."you can take the girl out of the library - but you can't take the library out of the gal." When my time comes, I want to be buried with a few of my favourite books, something to read in the afterlife.

God and Goddess, yes, like in 'Russian Arc', everything filmed in the one sequence shot. The author - owner of this 'maison' - would be greeting the Internet stranger, showing him his dwelling.

This is awesome! The sounds are muted and not overwhelming. It is truly peaceful. Love the library sounds of people using it. I really want this library. LOL

I think what I like most about this particular video is how close everything is. Sometimes the view is a large shot of a whole room but I like how this one is just located in a cozy little nook, tucked between the last bookshelf and wall. It feels close and warm.
