I like two different sides of young Kratos: because of his brutality Old Kratos: because of his calmness

For the people saying Kratos doesn't have a reason to hold back, you have not been paying attention to Kratos' character arc, and why he went a whole day fighting wolves till they were exhausted. He does not want his rage to consume him, he doesn't want to be the god that killed an entire pantheon and civilization out of rage again. He told Atreus when he congratulated him that he may have defeated the trolls, but he didn't win the war that truly mattered, which was conquering himself. He gave in to the rage within, and he felt horrible for it. Yes, Kratos holds back a ton, yes, he is definitely more than capable of Killing Thor. But that's not what he wants. He wanted Gods to grow good.

I don’t think so, I think Thor was just op compared to the other ones he fought and he wasn’t prepared. He definitely could not have killed him easily in their first fight. We gotta admit kratos has crazy hax and plot armor even for a main character. When he dies- they automatically find a way to bring him back. His story arc is so beautiful in a messed up way. All the gods / beings he’s killed but not just bc he wanted to feel superior. In the end it’s all about family in Ragnarök and making sure his son makes the right decisions whether or not he’s with or without his father. Which he achieved as a father and can be proud of.

Growing up I would play GOW and now I have an 8 year old daughter who loves playing that game. I can definitely see what creators did with Kratos. Having a kid changes you.

Old Kratos is way stronger. He was able to conquer the deadliest monster in history, which even young Kratos was unable to tame (or kill): himself. Young Kratos was a slave to his rage. Old Kratos is the master of his rage.

Old Man Kratos is hella powerful. Its even stated that hes far more stronger and smarter at his current age and hes like well over 1000 years old now

Actually the older the gods get the stronger they become and it is quite clear Kratos holds back his rage and power so that he doesn't become the bloodthirsty monster he used to be and becomes a better and smarter version of himself

Lol😂 by your own logic you're wrong. I think you are confusing the God's with the "Viltrumites" from the "Invincible" comic. Young Kratos beat the hell out of and defeated his father Zeus(who is thousands of years older) than him. Zeus defeated his father Cronus(who was hundreds of thousands years older than Zeus. Cronus defeated his father the sky God Uranus, who was way older than him. btw: Zeus and his brothers together defeat the much older and larger Titans.

It's crazy to think that lore accurate Dad Kratos could easily destroy every God he came across. Old Kratos is confirmed to be much stronger than Young Kratos, and we all can agree that Young Kratos would have no serious problem defeating everyone in the Norse Saga. A fraction of his Rage got the best of him just for mere moments, and Thor got his tooth knocked out, while Heimdall nearly made a great Hercules face cosplay. This is the Ghost of Sparta. Kratos is not just strong, he is a force of nature, a universe destroyer. Only thing I want to see in the future is Kratos avenging Atreus' death or something, giving us the most brutal and bloody God of War scene to ever exist

No. He wouldn't. He said at the end of GOW3 his vengeance was over. He offed himself to deliver hope back to the world. This was after saving the world so his daughters soul survived.... And then we are asked to believe he has a son and neglects him for 12 years.

It’s weird how good kratos has progressed as a person. I feel like it’s not appreciated often how he’s just fiction, but so real at the same time. Great game 👍.

This is one of the few times a game has taken a very different turn in its style and actually managed to become just as lovable or even more lovable to its fanbase...Seeing both of the 2 versions of Kratos I can't decide which one is cooler

Kratos has incredible feats considering that he held off a man that can't feel pain and kind of overpowered the god of strength a man that can see in the future and this is when kratos's just 1055 years old. And if the gods age up they become stronger. Imagine young kratos vs baldur and Heimdall.
