Beautiful area, now I know I want to travel 3 hours over from Kingsport, TN to drive along this trail. I might be coming over on 5/20/23 to the Bigfoot festival in marion,nd. This trail is just a short drive northeast of Marion. I could go drive it on that Sunday 5/22/23.

Do you see rattlesnakes, copperheads or cottonmouths? Do you see cougars or red wolves? Are the bears a threat? Thank you!

So yes all 3 of those snake species are very common here. The cougar population is small but at night you can still hear them cry in those woods. There are black bears there as well but I’ve never seen a red wolf.

Google Brown Mountain Beach Resort. The dirt road that runs through it will lead you parallel to the creek for miles!!
