Old Highway 90 Project - How to Dance Tejano Style
The Old 90 Highway Living Heritage Project is intended to capture the cultural history of Old Highway 90, and to celebrate the places, people, and events which make it a unique part of San Antonio’s history. This is an initiative of OHP ScoutSA. (January, 2018)
In this video, San Antonio local, Irma Gutierrez, teaches the OHP team how to dance in the style of Traditional Tejano. Many San Antonians still dance this way at various Tejano dance halls, quinceñeras, weddings, and especially during Fiesta.

Love this so much! Preserve our culture. Woman was smooth, dancing on air.❤
I usually dance the 2 step to Tejano. You really can't go wrong with it. I usually lead at the beginning. When my right hand is off her shoulder that is the signal for her to lead. When I tap my finger on her shoulder, it's time to swing and then I lead. Simple, easy & no stepping toes!
Very good performance and lesson!
