He did really well. He had a heap of weight and pretty much fell all the way back to the car but persisted and never complained. Good kid

Hey Ryan, yeah long story with that. Don was more referring to the construction of the round more than the weight. It’s a 165g game head from sako. I’ve had a lot of success with them but dons old school and prefers the core loc style. It’s an impressive round from the 3006 👌🏽

Another great video DH. I loved how the young fella was dragging the front leg down the hill and trying not to trip over. Hopefully one day he can pull the trigger and bring down one for himself. Keep it up mate. Now that camping restrictions have been lifted, I can't wait for more footage from you. Thanks again for sharing.

Cheers Theo! I’m just as keen as Kayde to get back out. It just shows how precious our time outside really is and how easily our lives can change. Best. It to waste a single day. Kayde gave it a red hot crack, didn’t complain and very well mannered. He knows where his meat comes from. That’s a good place to start. 👍🏾👍🏾

@@IntotheMountains The fact that he helped dress the animal probably gave him a better understanding of the whole hunting and butchering process. A better appreciation and respect for the animal too. That's the way I see it. I hope he doesn't lose interest as he gets older.

It’s a good area to hunt. Open is good sometimes but the deer are there because it’s so thick close by, 100 m either side and they are gone like ghosts.

Great work taking the young fella with you I had no one to teach me so I had to learn on my own but I had some young kids like myself and we went out and hunted rabbits and hares and went fishing and went on to hunt Roos and Deer and pigs shot Ducks and unfortunately got to be old farts but I think they were great years and I wouldn't change them for Quids

Best chance to catch up would be to join in on an Ada branch hunt. I try to go to them when available 👍🏾

Great to see the young fella getting into it from go to woe and lapping it all up - really enjoyable watch! Wouldn't it be good if more kids got this experience early in life - might have less people growing up to live in fantasyland, crying outrage at hunting while they eat packaged meat from the supermarket, voting for the Animal Justice Party and letting their cats run around unchecked.
