@@TumiEdits easy, just give it the specs to that'd make a plane nuclear-capable. it's a dumb ai, it's incapable of going like "i see you're asking for a pretty specific ordnance bay setup, which could be used for nukes. this isn't allowed."

i like the subtle YF-23 tail with a compromise between vertical and horizontal stabilizers

@@TakkudALT i mean to be fair theres nothing wrong with being a little game-y, and i'd argue that there are more aspects with aircraft design that are fun and intetesting to implement as game mechanics, and tank design is a little more limited on that front.

I might check it out when it publicly releases. I like what I see, and I hope that the game includes tutorials at some point. Edit: I also hope that Flyout includes graphics options.

Are there props in the game yet? If so, I'd love to see you do a pre-WWII flying boat type civilian aircraft. They tend to have such fun and unique designs that I feel like the AI would have to produce something "original" even if just by chance.

Creating a version of the massive post-war Saunders Roe flying boat project would be neat, or seeing if the Otto Koller/Norman Bel Geddes Airliner No.4 could have actually worked.

It will be really interesting when the military contractors (lockheed Martin, Boeing, ect….) start using super advanced AI to help them create new planes and modes of transportation. This is awesome by the way! Good work I’m in love with the Shadow Saber!

I love the aesthetics. The wide V tail gives it an especially nice rear profile. And the two seats just makes this thing feel like a beast, like it needs two pilots just to fly it

would love to see what ChatGPT could generate if you brief it with a mission specific scenario, like close air support or high alt bomber

I’m not even super into aviation, but as soon as this game is out fully. I would love to play this, even if that includes fumbling with the aircraft mechanics for like a week. It looks so damn cool.

I discovered your videos (and consequently, Flyout) a couple of days ago, and I can't wait to play this game. I used to spend hundreds of hours in KSP building fighters and other combat aircraft and making them take off and fight each other. I tried SimplePlanes for a little while, but the building interface just felt too clunky for me. This looks damn near perfect! I'll hold off on joining the Discord server for now, as apparently there have been a wave of people joining and asking "wHeRe gAmE", but I'm SUPER excited for the eventual release of Flyout! Thank you for making these videos and showcasing what this game can do!

2-seater with a WISO makes a lot of sense with USAF and Navy's current philosophy of "piloted squad leader with AI wingmen". The pilot can focus on flying the craft, while the WISO acts as the conductor of all the high bandwidth battlefield information, SIGINT, ECW, and marshalling the drone wingmen. A bigger frame than past air superiority fighters is consistent with potential theatres in southeast Asia, where the craft may need to fly 1000km just to get into operations range.

So basically it had you build an F22... the best stealth fighter design to date. Makes sense. Very good responses from GPT.

That would be entertaining. I doubt it would fly well, as the fundamental elements of aircraft design are almost completely absent from these questions and prompts.

I'd definitely get the game if $20 wasn't so expensive in my currency

while more complicated, you should’ve made the doors with serrated edges to reduce the possibility of an enemy seeing the doors whenever you open up the weapons bay. But great vid and beautiful aircraft.

Overall a pretty solid design if we keep in mind that it mostly was inspired by chat gpt, nevertheless from an RCS standpoint there still are some rather big issues. First and foremost there are 90 degree angles where the wingroot meets the fuselage and between the two engine nozzles. On top of that the side of the fuselage is slightly rounded instead of angled at a single direction which greatly increases the RCS. Another big problem is that the leading and trailing edge angles of both the V tail and the wings aren't the same which would lead to radar signals being deflected into different directions.

9:12 there is also the problem that large radar frequencies can travel fully around a sphere and right back towards the radar. Thats why the f-35 have the lip, the waves hit that and disperse.
