Wonder where they bury prisoners. I like your narrative along they way. Good to see new subs joining.

Thanks Dave. I do not think there is a cemetery at the prison but I'll have to look. Death Row is in Terre Haute. I'm not sure where they bury prosoners who die and are not claimed

❤ That's where my parents are buried, on the new side not the old side. But I have relatives on the old side also dating back to the first pioneers that came to Pendleton. I have walked all over that cemetery and many others in the area. I have relatives at gravel lawn and several of the pioneer cemeteries like the Cottrell cemetery near Fortville. If you're looking for Civil War veterans you might find them in the pioneer cemeteries. The Anderson library has information on them if you don't already know about them. But if you're into cemeteries you probably do.

I always wondered about that tomb. I see it every time I go there but I don't remember ever seeing any markings or inscriptions so I didn't know if it was a tomb or maybe a maintenance building to store equipment or something.

I haven't looked through your other videos yet because I just discovered your KZread channel. Do you have any other videos of Grove Lawn? I'll be interested to look.

Are you familiar with the story behind the Cottrell pioneer cemetery? It was nearly destroyed before someone discovered it and they spent about $75,000 restoring it. You could probably find the story by googling it but also one of the descendants wrote a book about it, paperback, and I believe it's available in the Anderson library in the genealogy section. I have a copy but have no clue where it is right now.
