Old Engine Restoration {1970s Clinton} Part 1
Plastic tank Clinton will live again! and will look good doing it! Plastic tank Clinton engines are not too common for they were only made a year or two before Clinton engines shut down engine production in the mid-70s. In this video the focus was getting it running the next video is getting it cleaned up with the original paint so kinda a "restoration" just without ruining the original paint. part three will be me cleaning the parts that have bad dirt from corrosion or flaking to bare metal to make the engine look its best. Hope you enjoy!

I'm almost finished with my first clinton. I will say this without hesitation. Their online database is the best I've ever seen. Every catalog, engine variations, instructions on break downs and maintenance with illustrations, parts diagrams, specs. As far as I can tell they have every model in every year. All downloadable in pdfs for free. I have to say I'm now a clinton guy. Any company who supports repairs to their systems in such great effort is about the customer not the bottom line revenue. From this day out ill be seeking them out to bring them back to the light in which they deserve!
Had this engine in a 1970s go kart 😁
