This 5 block very classic old town with elegant shops and fine eateries is nestled in the scenic hills above the Patapsco River located about 11 miles west of Downtown Baltimore and 30 miles northeast of Washington DC. Founded in 1772, Historic Ellicott City is also home to the oldest railroad station in the U.S., the last operating grist mill in Maryland and the first federally funded highway. So much to see and do, no reason why Old Ellicott City is a favorite of tourists and locals alike.

I am in love with this city. The ghosts there, the ancient masonry, and especially the river that runs through it. I ran through the entire city once from just the river. Thankfully, I did not get a twisted ankle, but my dad and uncles taught me very well about stepping on wet river stones when you wade. What a lovely place.

0:18 On the second floor of this building is a place called AxeGuard, it’s (obviously) an axe throwing place and they also have some vr stuff I definitely recommend
