During the college football game between Virginia Tech and Old Dominion, Old Dominion pulled off one of their biggest wins in program history as they stunned Virginia Tech 20-17. Old Dominion was able to score the game winning touchdown with under 40 seconds left and then intercepted Grant Wells to seal the win. To celebrate, Old Dominion fans stormed the field.

moments like THIS is what makes college football so great! Glad the season is back!
You love to see the David defeat Goliath, no matter how mediocre VT has been the past half decade, they're still a way better program than ODU, and the Monarchs establishing a colony on VT should really bring up their confidence for the season!
College football is THE BEST sport there is. I don’t care what anyone else says! The atmosphere is electric! The storming on to the field is something to behold!!!

Nebraska lost to Northwestern as 13 point favorites. That was the first 'upset' as it happened over a week ago. Here, VT was only 6 point favorites.

I do not know why everyone's calling this game an upset. We're ass this year and this game sums up the last ten years as a fan of the team. Yeah, i'm frustrated but i ain't really shocked that it happened because quite frankly we're not that talented anymore and we're the third best team in the state in college football terms. Still better that UVA though, so yeah.

I knew after seeing the offense, that the Hokies would go for another 6-6 (maybe 6-7) season this year. Actually, I did thought about a scenario around the beginning of the 4th Quarter, that the Hokies would lose to ODU by a last-minute touchdown. This ending was very heartbreaking for this Hokie fan.

@@erick2853 Not really. This athlete who is supposed to be on the field was jogging in a direct path to his locker room. Unfortunately for the shirtless kid he ran into oncoming legal traffic without looking where he was going. The football player did nothing wrong.

@@erick2853 Impossible to prove intent. Shirtless kid has no basis to make a claim as he was not permitted to be on the field. Also, football player could easily argue he was in danger from the mob of people and was only protecting himself. If the kid tried to file a lawsuit he would be wasting his time and money. But no attorney worth a dime would take the case.

We were told to wear navy blue to the game. This weekend is a white out. Some games are the Hudson Blue which is the color of the team jerseys. If you saw the band they wear navy. My son's a trumpet player!
