"Wagon Wheel" is definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of American folk music. You guys know how to wash away from my soul the dust of everyday life! This music means a lot to me and has undoubtedly been my favorite piece since I was a child. I'm 22 now and I still can't listen to these fiddle solos without having a bright smile. It's because of this song that I picked up the banjo. It's what sparked my passion for the United States and its amazing people. And it's the tune I first heard when I set foot on North American soil. May the blessings of God encompass you all. May the divine favor extend to the Appalachian mountains and its splendid culture, deeply intertwined with its roots and history. Happy birthday to this American classic! I'd love to see you on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium one day! Greetings from France.
This is the National Anthem of Appalachian Trail thru hikers making their way up that 2200 mile footpath. It's sung many nights in my yard in Lehigh Gap, PA ;-) Happy Birthday, Wagon Wheel!!!

Yup. Love to see these comments.
Never get tire of "Cumberland Gap, to Johnson City Tennessee"!
Nothing but good memories surrounding this song, hard to believe it’s been 20 years.
This song was playing the literal second my son was born; my wife had a playlist going and this was on as he was born.

@@Cletus-so5gr truth man. I do not know why people don't think it is an OCMS original.
I vividly remember my folks introducing my siblings and I to this song right about when it came out. Not my cup of tea at first but I grew to love it, and bluegrass on the whole, very quickly. When this jam was on, the mood in the house was elevated. Grateful to my folks and OCMS for such kind memories.
Remember the memories I was making when this song came out. 20 years already? Rock me indeed.
It's a hard to listen to this without crying
Man this band got torn to shreds. But still good. Saw them sometime near the start in Lancaster, PA. It was a great show.

Torn to shreds in a bad way? I will finally see them live this year and I'm very excited for it. Hope they play this song but honestly they just seem to kick ass live. I listened to their memorial day show at the del fest many times.
Happy 83rd birthday, Bob Dylan

Saw these guys in Nampa’ ID last July with Hank JR. These guys were incredible live! Like an old time Medicine Show. Hank JR was unbelievable.
A terrific song by any standard, thank you OCMS.
I was there that night, They really stole the show :)

Awesome... Thank you
You guys have this song so incredibly polished after all these years. I have to wonder how annoying it is to have to keep playing it over and over again forever because it’s the main one song everyone wants to hear. I play this one sometimes, just me and my guitar. I forget how fast you guys play it honestly cuz I slow it down when I play I guess and try to dig into the emotions that the lyrics give me. Hell of a song but even then I don’t think it’s your best one or the one that fits the band the best.
I love these guys, the only thing missing is Willy Watson

Hard to believe! This album sprouted a whole new branch of my musical tree, and a lot of new friendships and experiences along with it, all because I was listening to different renditions of CC Rider on Rhapsody. _Without 🎶, life would be a mistake_ _-Nietzsche_

You know Hootie and Ketch will be taken up a residency show in Branson in a few years. Sing all those old time hit they had.
I like how the banjo player went from looking like Oswald on The Drew Carey Show 20 years ago, to now looking like Chris Stapleton.
used to really love OCMS, but havent kept up with them in years. Is Ketch the only original member left? He's the only one i recognize.
Way to finish that Robert Zimmerman gift song! 💯
I love these guys, but I miss seeing Willie Watson, Kevin Hayes, and Critter Fuqua on the stage.
Of it wasn't for PBS, i eould have never heard this or Jolene by Dolly.
These guys play it Darius sings it
Bob dylan wrote this for pat garret and billy the kid but i like this version also darius rucker . Theres anorher cover with katie sunshine hula hooping to this song also great
A gateway drug for twang

As I understand it, Bob Dylan wrote some basic lyrics of the chorus, then Old Crow Medicine Show expanded it

my guy is next level fucked up but still performing the most over played song to date flawless
Do people really not know this is a Bob Dylan song?
Boring audience.
Great cover of a Bob Dylan and Jeff Secor song, Darius didn’t write it, nor did OCMS, nor did Mumford and Sons. Darius made it famous I guess, but I first heard the song on the CMA’s or the Grammy’s when Bob Dylan appeared with Mumford and Sons, to perform this, soooo long ago, 2012 maybe?
Few know this, but Luke Bryan actually wrote this for Darius Rucker who made it famous.
