"Wagon Wheel" is definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of American folk music. You guys know how to wash away from my soul the dust of everyday life! This music means a lot to me and has undoubtedly been my favorite piece since I was a child. I'm 22 now and I still can't listen to these fiddle solos without having a bright smile. It's because of this song that I picked up the banjo. It's what sparked my passion for the United States and its amazing people. And it's the tune I first heard when I set foot on North American soil. May the blessings of God encompass you all. May the divine favor extend to the Appalachian mountains and its splendid culture, deeply intertwined with its roots and history. Happy birthday to this American classic! I'd love to see you on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium one day! Greetings from France.

This is the National Anthem of Appalachian Trail thru hikers making their way up that 2200 mile footpath. It's sung many nights in my yard in Lehigh Gap, PA ;-) Happy Birthday, Wagon Wheel!!!

I vividly remember my folks introducing my siblings and I to this song right about when it came out. Not my cup of tea at first but I grew to love it, and bluegrass on the whole, very quickly. When this jam was on, the mood in the house was elevated. Grateful to my folks and OCMS for such kind memories.

You guys have this song so incredibly polished after all these years. I have to wonder how annoying it is to have to keep playing it over and over again forever because it’s the main one song everyone wants to hear. I play this one sometimes, just me and my guitar. I forget how fast you guys play it honestly cuz I slow it down when I play I guess and try to dig into the emotions that the lyrics give me. Hell of a song but even then I don’t think it’s your best one or the one that fits the band the best.
