That stool with the appliqué on it is to die for. I love the way you save things that you "might find a use for". My husband makes fun of me all time for doing that.

I can relate to the feeling of not being able to pass up certain items. Your genius is in envisioning how to use them -- these footstools are fantastic! I wish I had more storage space so I could have a hoard to play with. I don't, but I'm pretty good at reusing leftovers and orphaned items in the fridge!

Absolutely fantastic! Although wood working skills are a must to make inserts. Many folks don't have all the tools you guys have. The bigger crates going for outrageous amounts at auction, the fruit crates are usually thrown out at my grocers, and free for the taking . Love grain stripes!

I'm so with you about the wooden boxes, I just can't let them go until I recycle them.....OH yes the electric knife is the ONLY way to cut foam. Your little stools are so sweet. Thanks for the tips on painting the stripes.

These are so cute! Last year, I made an ottoman out of a larger old crate and drop cloth, but didn't think to scotch guard it. Now I can recover it and know that it'll be easier to clean!

I could watch you paint/refinish furniture all day! I found my late husband’s bookcase in a closet..it’s 50 years old..heavy real wood! I’m chalk painting it for my granddaughters bedroom as part of her Christmas ..she wants it white shabby chic. Any suggestions would be so great!
