Old Clear Bra Removal is a major pain But I figured out the easier way!

So the Lexus LX570 aka LX Family Truckster has some 7 year old PPF (Paint Protection Film). It's peeling and not doing what it should do. I've decided to remove it but it was initially awful to do until I tried something else.

use rapid remover is what the pro use, for very old ppf baked in the hood, its very difficult to remove, steamer is useless in this case, heat gun help, but still difficult to remove

Damn I wish I had a steamer… I’m just going to spray water and use the heat gun 😂
Rob you know what is absolutely amazing in removing residual is a product called GOO-GONE. Many years ago I bought an ex-police car and there were old stickers left. Half a bottle of goo-gone made it effortless in removing all the old stickers.

I tried that stuff once and it took out some clear coat so I vowed to avoid it on paints.

Not good for car paint, along with rubbing alcohol etc… anything should be ok in moderation but a professional chemical is best
Heat is your friend. :-) It reactivates the adhesive so you can work with it easier.

Heat gun wasn't the fix though like vinyl wrap.
The best way to remove these films is to not install them in the first place. One of the worst automotive ideas ever.
