It is probably symbolic of the parable of the woman who lost a coin and swept her whole house until she found it. Referencing how God will work tirelessly to find lost souls.

I'd like to see that "mop" in person, because I thought it looked like a torch that she was putting out against the ground, symbolizing the end of life extinguishing the fire of life etc. I never saw it as a mop

The type of grave with all the red flowers is a "cradle grave" - typically used for infants or stillbirths, so it's very kind to see that it is being maintained all these years later 💗

Yes, you are right it is a cradle crave and these were common for children. However they are also common for all ages. This one was for a a twenty something year old. I have seen a lot of them for adults but rare to see one so well taken care of. The flowers in this one was beautiful, a rare vision. Thanks for watching, 💜🤗

@@jeffreyyoung4104 The torch symbolism goes back at least as far as Ancient Greece and the Eleusinian Mysteries, where an image of the Goddess Hecate is shown holding two torches. One torch points down indicating Death, and the other upright, signifying Rebirth. The classical revival brought many of these symbols back into use, particularly those relating to death. I must agree that holding a mop for eternity would suck.🖤🇨🇦

The grave you state is " is a lady with a mop " it's not a mop . She is holding a torch with a flame still burning even though it has fallen . Since Rebecca Sire raised money for families in the South after the civil war , I think torch still burning , even though it has fallen is representative of the south . They may have lost the war , but their spirit still is alive , I.e. the flame .

I watch alot of these videos with others like Faces of the Forgotton, and you really do give a awesome presentation, but I think you need to spend just a little time with the ones you stop at and try to read whatever is there, like the Lewis and Clark site, it would of been awesome for you to read what was the side of that huge stone, that beautiful white marble it looked to be, just beautiful.....you are great with the little inserts you write, gives a laugh....keep up the good...and keep going to these beautiful places.

She served as President of the Southern Relief Fair, often spending her own funds". Probably moping up after the aftermath.

In Bellefontaine and Calvary's old embrace, Where time has left its weathered trace, There lies a realm of ancient grace, Where strange and eerie headstones pace. Among the shadows, tombs arise, Their secrets hidden 'neath dark skies, With marble faces and silent cries, They stand as sentinels, ancient and wise. Creepy and beautiful, their forms entwine, Inscribed with tales from a bygone time, Markers of souls now lost to rhyme, Yet their presence lingers, a spectral chime. Beneath the moon's ethereal glow, Whispers of the past gently flow, As grave robbers once dared to sow, Their greed in soil where spirits grow. But among the moss and ivy's vine, A sense of peace begins to shine, For though the living may decline, These old graves hold stories divine. So wander with us through the night, Where tombstones gleam in eerie light, In Bellefontaine and Calvary's sight, Where old cemetery graves ignite.

The "mop" is actually a torch that she is extinguishing, meaning her time has ended. The symbol on the celtic cross at 11:51, is for the Lutheran church. The children's grave is for John and Julia Sarpy. He is in an invalid chair and she in a crib. The mother was the daughter of one of the founders of St. Louis The fathers name was John L. Sarpy.

The symbol on the grave headstone of X AND P is The Chi-Rho symbol, is an anagram - a combination - of the first two letters of Christ in Greek, the Chi (our CH) and the Rho (our R). The Chi looks like an X and the Rho looks like a P. In the time of the Roman Empire and in medieval Europe, these two Greek letters written together stood for Christianity, the way the New York Mets’ logo has the N and the Y on top of each other. So the Chi-Rho is like a logo for Christianity.
