My only "issue" (if you can call it that 😉) not teaching his son to keep 'his machinery' oiled & greased... I see rust and force needed to tilt that there bucket ^ I know, I know...I'm British and love watching American youtubers (Fall Line Ridge, Dirt Perfect, Diesel Creek etc) and the one thing in common, which I admire and do myself as best I can, is repair & maintain - something that should be passed from generation to generation 😀👍

Nothing worse than having to stop work because of a tractor break down. At least the young man could get back to moving that sawdust out of the way. I hope you didn’t charge him much for repairs, he seems to be doing an awful lot of work there on the homestead. Great video. Love seeing the inside work coming together.

Aaargh! when I saw you were going to put up those boards I was almost shouting: "check your framing for 'square' first"! You may have to plane off the ones protruding or cut filler strips to even them out. But the room is really coming together Wes. Keep it up. Good luck.

Shaving that stud presents a problem - how to do it. Those round chainsaw tipped grinding wheels come to mind? Or maybe even a chainsaw (electric) and chew away at the stud to get it down? Or a router set up with a jig of another board to plunge cut the offending wood away? Or maybe even a good old sharp chisel or hatchet/axe to trim it that way? (another mentioned a power planer) I'm sure you'll figure it out. Too bad about the butcher's 0:59 schedule - but on the bright side, that will mean more for the freezer, although the wallet will be thinner. Hopefully a little wood glue salvaged the break 11:48 in the board. ANY videos you can upload are welcome and appreciated. Thank you, Wes!

Just had to add this comment regarding the bridge built in a previous video. It would be beneficial to add a 4X4 longitudinally on each side of the deck to help you feel the edge should you ever get close, or the boards are slippery, and the vehicle happens to slide. Thanks, and good luck with the walls.

Hey Wes try using some essential oils diffused in the house. I know it isn't perfect but these are some of the best for calming the mind. Roman chamomile, Lavender, Mandarin, Ylang-ylang, and Vetiver. It helps my adhd grandson. We actually got him a bracelet we can put oils on. I think sometimes the stress of life can cause major issues. Maybe calming scents along with prayer and quiet time can help keep all of us on track.

A little tractor repair to keep your son diggin in the sawdust, too cool. I don`t know if you have a router, but you could rout the back side of that board out to negate the high stud, or plane that stud down, planning that stud down is probably the smarter choice, we love the videos no matter the content, keep em coming Wes.

I don't know when you filmed this, or how far along you've gotten.. but another option would be to take down the first couple boards you put up.. shim the studs and use a framing level (4ft+) to get all the studs straight. then run your boards on top of the shimmed studs. you can fasten the shims with just some staples or brad nail.. just something to hold them while you get the boards up. shaving the studs with a hand planar works too, but you'll have to tear the paper on your insulation.. that sounds like even more work.. I guess it depends if you have more "outty" boards than "inny" lol.

Some TIte Bond and clamps, and you can restore that nicely shaped board. Easy on the glue and wipe it clean right away. Give it a day or two to cure and you've got your board back.

What you need for those pigs is one, or two milk cows. Mixing milk with their feed would greatly reduce your cost for pig feed, and they would supply you with all of the milk you could use.
