Ойын-сауық
Beneath the canopy of Vermont's vast forests lay white marble, maple sugar and wildlife both big and small. On this adventure we find a little of each.

I started to watch these videos for the promise of treasure hunting, but very soon I made sure of them so I could watch the beautiful nature photography, and treasure hunting!
Some interesting finds. I had a mamma and baby bear follow me from the base of a mountain where they charged me out of the woods to my car about 25 yards away. I then drove off to the top of the mountain and detected a Civil War site and two hours later here they come up the mountain tracking me again. Needless to say, I left! Lol! I enjoy your videos. Take care & happy hunting!
Glad to see you guys hitting the cart paths. I've made some of my best finds just wandering around the old roads in the woods, including my oldest silver, a 1717 Pistereen. Great video, thanks for sharing.
You guys were fun, had fun so it was a good day! I loved it. As always, love my Friday's! Lessons and entertainment... 👍
Yeah! I have been looking forward to your video. I live in Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 and we are back in lockdown. Thanks Brad 👍

"1952, that's kind of old" I was born in '54. It's all a matter of perspective, young whippersnapper! Loved the extra excitement today! Keep up the great work. Helps remind me of VT and get through this isolation mess in FL!

Love these videos, they are so much more interesting than regular television. Please keep them coming.
I've had 2 close calls with black bears, no cubs were involved. Needless to say I treat them with respect. A few years ago you had some hounds chasing a bear in the distance while you were detecting, that's a very good time to be wary. Nice hunt Brad you've got beautiful terrain in your state, someday I'd like to visit that area of our country.
I love the whoop of mockery when you mentioned anaphylaxis! Such sympathy!
Hi Brad, Joel and Chris, wow. Bear cub ! Bee stings, great relics Chris. Excellent work on the creation of this video Brad. Joel I’m hoping you find the coins in the walls. Keep us posted Brad. Thank you, Joyce, Connecticut 🇺🇸. ARROW *🎱. 🐝🐻🍄
What a fabulous find for Chris. Your off-screen reaction to the bees was entertaining! Always a great adventure with scenery and wildlife! Very enjoyable viewing!
Summer in Vermont .. It's hard to beat! Thanks for posting another GMMD video for all of us to enjoy .. They are very much appreciated Brad, thank you. Having previously lived in the NW corner of Vt. for over 20 years, before moving to the deep South, I am very familiar with the high country Black Bear population, and habits, especially their love for fresh berries. To be there in between "Momma" and her baby(ies) without a sidearm, tells a lot! Stay safe, and well, and we'll look forward to more great videos from GMMD.
Love the mood in your videos
Love to grab my detector and join you guys. So exciting. Thanks Brad 🇦🇺
Fun day with the guys and wildlife, Chris finds everything!
Your videos have inspired me to get back into detecting. Ordered my AT Pro this week. Thank you my friend.
Congrats Chis on your first large cent!! That's a beauty!! Can't imagine disturbing a bee hive!! Ouch! I'm sure Mamma bear had been smelling y'all long before you saw Junior made his appearance on the road. Thank goodness Black bears are not that aggressive! As always! Great video!! My Friday morning is complete! I've had my Coffee with GMMD video! Hope everyone has a great weekend! And a fantastic next week! Thanks for taking us with you!!
Brad, It's good to see your friends sharing your passion for History. There's a lot more to your videos than just the detecting, but that 1833 large cent was a nice first find. Cheers, Rik Spector
That was incredibly good of you to put the bee's rock back. Wow.
Awesome hunt Brad. Congrats to Chris killing it out there. Thanks for sharing. *Chris*
Made my day with your bears and bees adventure! Stay safe!!
Hi Brad, awwww I really feel for that little baby bear I hope he found his Momma. Thank you for sharing. x
Brad, I absolutely love the intro and voice over on this one! Didn't you show Chris how to metal detect? He's killing it now! Good hunt guys! Thanks 👍👍
You had me swatting at flies in the beginning of the video, good stuff !!!
Congrats to all the finds today. At least there's not a mama bear out there saying her biggest find would have been three treasure hunters in one spot! Thanks Joel! Happy hunting and camping!
The whining sound you describe is a sound bears make when they are upset.
What AMAZING finds all of you recovered. I had a great time watching. Thank you for sharing your adventures. ♥♥♥
Man, the patina on that large penny is gorgeous!
Thank you for the adventure and seeing some nice finds ! Take care , stay safe and healthy there in Vermont ! Doing well here in Kansas .
First off, nature said hello with a sting and a bear; not so cool and very cool!! Congrats to you Chris for finding your 1st Largie 🎉😃👍 Chris had some great finds on that hunt, a very sturdy cufflink, a huge coat button, his pieces the oil lamp and the amazing 1833 large cent!! You guys all had a great hunt considering the bear sighting. I sure hope the cub and it's mama reunited 👍
Chris' large cent is in beautiful condition! A great first find!
Congrats to Chris on the largie! Fun spot.
Your video is proof a bad day detecting is still a great day
Wow! Chris really cleaned up on the day. Perfect shape to the 1833 large cent.... Raspberries in a bowl with milk and sugar.... mmmmm! We eat our raspberries like that in Ontario, Canada! Thanks for the video!

Good Morning..great intro!...beautiful 1st find..thank you for taking us along again...
Enjoyed watching. You don't have to try and outrun the bear. You just have to run faster than your friends lol. Thanks for sharing another great adventure. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Appreciations from Scotland. Love your enthusiasm. Slainte 🥃
Digging is always best with buddies! Great video, guys.
New to your channel and have Been watching your videos all week. Big hi from Queensland, Australia. Keep up the great work. 👍
Great episode, we love the way you bring us along with you! Congrats on the large cent Chris, good luck on the next hunt guys!
Looks like you had a fun day. Nothing like like laughter among friends.
Brad! I always take a container of Adolph's Meat Tenderizer with me on my hunts. If one gets stung by a bee, hornet, wasp, or yellow jacket, simply wet the area, sprinkle on some tenderizer and pat the stuff into your "sting" area. It has a tendency to neutralize the venom and reduce pain.
Congratulations Chris awesome finds man first large copper, hey Mike Rowe better Lookout, Brad I think you're going to take over the Discovery Channel narrators job, great hunt beautiful scenery
Your comments off at the beginning and during were very good. Something you could repeat in the future. Chris is the luckiest (or most talented 🤨) guy I have seen with you. Even when not much can be revealed, he is the one to find something of value. Tschuss.
Already a big Cris fan, seems like a super nice guy, love it all!
I dont know how you're so calm. If I thought I was potentially between a mama bear and her baby I'd probably pee myself. 🤣 I've been between a mama and baby once on horseback and it scared the crap out of me. Mama was MAD. Thankfully there was an alternate trail behind mama and she calmed down when we went down it and out from in between them.
great video Brad nothing like spending the day in the bush looking for treasure.
Brad you should so do videos telling historical stories about Vermont. Your voice overs are so relaxing lol.
Always a good time watching your adventures. Until next time GLHH.
Loved the entro! I love your stories, filled with knowledge! Yes! Again need under a rock in the ground ...wow... The pun was perfect....
Great video, as always, and YAY!! We got to see you actually dig. That's honestly my favorite part!
Another video that makes me want to go enjoy the woods! Very entertaining!
Yay!!!!! Love your videos!! Can’t wait for them!!! Really exciting!!
Another top-notch video Brad! Congrats to your friends first large cent, it was a beauty! 👍
Enjoy the video can’t wait for your next adventure
Congratulations on the cool finds everyone. Can't believe you never had blueberries with sugar and cream on them. It's even better when the berries are frozen. The milk freezes on the berries kinda like ice cream.
The hand wrought iron piece with the ring is the handle for an early style scythe.
Even down here in Pennsylvania we have black bears topping 700 lbs. My Gran always had, until her late 90s, a black raspberry patch which she would can. Middle of January with raspberry pie had all of us singing her praises. Which she expected. :-)
When I was young and lived up in the northern Adirondacks we would do something similar to the milk and Sugar Berry Bowl. We would take wild blueberries and pour heavy cream on them and add sugar to that. Yum.
Bears and bees oh my!!! Quite a day! Some nice finds. Love that cuff link. I enjoyed your intro as well. Take care:)
My ancestors only made it from Massachusetts to New Hampshire before coming west in the 1800's but thinking they might have had a few of those kind of coins is really cool.
We often had raspberries (or blackberries) with milk and sugar for dessert when I was a kid. They are even better with cream instead of milk. Delicious!
The oil lamp parts look like an early Dietz. Being a lantern collector I loved that, seeing as I have a few that are that old.
1952, that penny and I were created in the same year. We're not old, we have just aged like a fine wine. Nice location, a lot of history still to be found in Vermont.
Love the group hunt Brad!
Well once again I heard what sounded like a mozzie in your vid through my earplugs and immediately looked around me to see where the #%#$#^ was lol. I hate those things but they love me. Glad you didn't get to meet momma bear . The scenery in the mountains of Vermont is definitely beautiful and full of wildlife , birds etc , I would love to live there. Some nice finds there and congrats chris on your first classic head large cent. Thanks for the vid Brad.

I did the same always thinking there is either a mozzie or a bee.
You have a good voice for narration. Sometimes having a good time out there is just as good as finding great stuff. Bear encounters can get the blood pumping. Coming down a hillside in Tennessee on a ski lift a momma and cub went right under our feet. We weren't that high off the ground. Glad you guys had fun. Still found some good stuff. Way to go Chris on your first copper.
I love the scenery...thanks for bringing us along😊🥾🐝
Seeing that bear would get my heart racing! I may have backed out of the area totally and hit another area. 😊
Great hunt sorry about the sting thanks for the vid. You are gettting better and better with your progression from civilian to star thanks Brad I really enjoyed this one.
Chris is such a happy guy 😊😀
Love the channel guy! 💪a massive helo from South Africa! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
It's a, it's a , it's a , it's a wheat penny!! 😂😂 You were ever so lucky mama bear didn't show up! Do you ever pack and carry just in case? Cool digs! Chris rocked it.Stay safe n blessed.😀😀🐻🐻🐻
Chris, congrats on your first large!!! Excellent coin and better friends!
Amazing nature photos
Top video will try keep up with your videos just away for 2days but will keep eyes open injoy your weekend
Stumbled upon your channel by complete coincidence. I can't believe the quality of your videos and could watch them all day long for the scenery alone. I love how you take the time to catch the beauty of the woods/forest. I love the moss, the ferns, the trees, the leaves, the nature sounds EVERYTHING. And, of course it's fascinating to see what you pull out of the ground. You definitely have a new subscriber here!
That was a fun outing. Well, at least I enjoyed watching it. Probably because I didn't get stung by the bees.
It's a....it's a.........it's a ..... I discovered I was holding my breath. 😳😀😀
Brad I really enjoy your videos even when there’s not a lot of finds. The woods are always beautiful and the wild growth is stunning. I’m glad you don’t over sensationalize when you dig something up like other swingers do in their vids...it gets annoying when they hoop & holler over a marble or a wheat penny like they just discovered gold or something. Anyway I just enjoy you & Chris when he’s with you so keep on hunting & sharing with the rest of us. Bored in Kansas with COVID hanging around!
Back in the early 1990’s, I was camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sitting on my bed, in a canvas cabin tent. Minding my own business when a California Black Bear came into my tent. It can really get the adrenaline flowing when you have a black bear, in your face, close enough to feel hot bear breath on your face. While scary, it was freaking awesome. We just looked at each other, it blinked and walked away. Maybe, being 6’5” tall and 300 lbs had something to do with the peaceful encounter.
Great day in the woods with the bears and friends. Thanks
Berries in a bowl with milk and sugar is delicious, especially when you smash it all together. I just finished my toast with black raspberry jam.

Add a scone or a nice buttermilk biscuit on the side for dunking and you really have something great. Yumm. Also heavy cream makes it even better. Use to milk the cows with grandpa and his happy cows put out more cream than normal, so after selling the milk, their table milk was about half and half and the extra cream was awesome with berries but often ended up as butter from the churn. Those were the days. Summers on the farm about fifty five years ago. They mostly bought flour, salt, and baking powder. The rest they were selling excess from their land. Chickens, hogs, milk cows, and cattle. Garden, foraging berries and nuts, hay fields, feed corn, and a couple hundred acres of timber stand. That one thousand acres in a valley fed over a dozen kids and made a profit for decades.Went through the great depression in the thirties without even knowing much about it. WWII took a hit as the oldest boys went off to Europe and the Pacific. Five natural springs, two cricks, and a stream. A little bit of heaven on earth.

@@markpashia7067 I grew up on a dairy farm. Raw milk from the cooler in the milk house is what I grew up on. 100 acres of woods with a creek full of catfish was my playground.

Good recap and new hunt. Realistic hunt guys! Congratulations to Chris on his first largie!
Very good finds for all of you 👏
Hey Brad, I really liked what you did with the intro in this video, a brief narrative that added to the suspense of the hunt. 😁
Brad my name is lenny from Pennsylvania, I just wanted to say you guys are a delightfull treasure indeed, I found my only large cent in the winter when the lake was low, get back if you can, oh I’m allergic to bees
Great hunt. Those ground bee's dont mess around 😬😂
Thank you Brad ! Got my weekly fix,,,lol
Thank you Brad. Great intro.
Who's the Debbie downer who could dislike any of Brads videos? Always interesting videos.
Sweet wheat Brad. Welcome to my world. LOL! Enjoyed the video. :-)
Wonderful as usual!
Close encounters with the natural world! I hope the cub found its mom. Nice largie, Chris! Those old cart paths can be productive! Great video, Brad!😊💖
Those bears are scary stuff. Thanks for another great video!!
Nice finds boys! Great vis as always! Keep swinging!
Love your videos and the history lesson you give around the area!
How amazing, love the stories, as well as the finds. Great, love your adventures.
Wild black raspberries with milk and sugar is amazing. That was pretty much the main way we ate them, growing up. Well, that and we had a wild black raspberry bread pudding recipe that was AMAZING (if a bit seedy).
Don't be scared. Davy Crockett kilt him a bar when he was only three!
