I have a typo in the video didn't catch it :). I put tongue oil, but it's actually Tung oil. Also, I know restoration is something new I'm experimenting with. These can be bought new for cheap, but keep in mind that I find the process satisfying. I make videos for you all so your opinion matters :D. So let me know what you think.

While you can buy *a* hatchet, you can't buy *that* hatchet! It's a one-of-a-kind. Nice work.

My wife and I love your videos, but the one where you barely talk or have much commentary, not our favorite. Your skills are great and a joy to watch, but definitely keep the commentary and your personality in the videos.
You are definitely a WORKER!!! all that sanding, and smoothing. My hands would have gotten super tired. I have an old Axe handle and I thought for a minute to do what you've done...but that is A LOT of work!!! Beautiful restored Axe!
Finally someone shows me how to fix my axe handle. Thank you good sir
Nice looking hatchet love watching people restore old knifes and tools
I just found the same type of axe head on my land. Doing metal detecting with my kids. We're super excited to try this ourselves. Great video my friend. God bless you my friend.
When you started the video, I thought it was an old axe that was a family heritage because of its style and that you were going to bring out the finish and make a beautiful resharpen and handle. When you started grinding, I tought omg, he is ruining the old piece. But I kept watching and was very doubtful you would make anything unique, but this was only my third video, so I really didn’t know the depth of your talent. Great job!
I like to watch things get restored. The uglier the better. I love the way you film your work!
I've been seeing a lot of axe/hatchet videos lately. Yours is the only one I've watched. Well done! I have a rusty old hatchet I should mess with, but it's a fiberglass handled one.

Knock out the resin, bust the handle off, get a replacement, and wedge it up bud. You got this.
Looks good to me... great job!! It's ok to leave a few dings it gives it some character. Those pins do serve a purpose...they say "that's my hatchet".
I like to watch someone who pours their heart into a restoration project and the results are spectacular! Congratulations, you've just created an heirloom!
Great job on the restoration. You turned a rusty hulk into a piece of art. Try a drawknife the next time you make an axe handle. I think you will like it and shaping will go faster.
Good job! the dwarves of Moria would be proud!
I have this exact head in my garage. This is inspiration for sure.
Man you brought that thing back to life - looks near brand new. I actually quite like the half way grinded/cratered look, kinda a cool contrast as a display piece, but then again - there's no accounting for my taste!

Haha Thank you
Check out reverse electrolysis for removing deep rust. A couple hour soak in Naval Jelly will get rid of most surface rust as well, without having to grind so much. Good work though. :)
One of the best restorations I think I've seen on KZread to date. Functional, too!
you did a great job man. I'm a rather new subscriber and I'm going back and watching all your videos and I LOVE what I see in each one of them! Keep up the good work!
Excellent job. Let's see some more of your work!
Nice restoration. Good job on making the handle.
Great job. Really beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video. Really liked the epoxy finish on the handle top.
Tongue oil is good for that "spit shine" look 😉. Nice work again!
I love you videos man! No click baits. Just the beauty of your works. I would love to have that shop someday. Keep up the good work man! God bless
It's called a roofing hatchet, the hammerhead was for driving roofing nails, the notch in the blade was for pulling nails, the hatchet part was for splitting wood cedar shingles, and the overall length from hammerhead face to hatchet bland was the offset length to start the next row of shingles. Nice work for your first project, your attention to detail is great.

Plz help I just found one in a old barn I'm a newbie lol
I am getting ready to redo this exact type of hatchet.
I loved this so much, because now I know how much material I need to remove from all my dads antique butcher knifes and axes and hatchets! project time!
Very nice job on your first restoration job.
There is just something about watching guys working with their hands.
You know full well he had so much fun in that closing section, there's deffinitely more clips of him just chopping random stuff

i got more of a "ehh fuck this woodchoppin shit this too much work jack" vibe from the end of the clip haha
I really like the sound design in this video. The balance between the music and sanding sounds is really good
Wow! It's incredible how much better that looks, bravo!
Super satisfying project ! Loved the results ! Having said that, it is much more hardwork than it looks !
Wow! The artist!!
That is beautiful work!
I like the epoxy finish on the eye of the ax head. I don't think I have seen anyone else do that on a restoration. You do good stuff, man. Thanks!
Very nice attention to detail.
Another magic job
Beautiful work! I like the extras you did with the round stock and resin. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great job! I just found a "plumb" head .i was just going to put a handle on it but after seeing your video im inspired! !
Beautiful work
You made this sheetrock hammer look really good! Great job!
Nice work! I watch a TON of tool restoration videos. I love the process. This one was fantastic. The four pins and the epoxy handle head are not a common/typical process and it shows your unique skills set and talent. Keep it up.
Super clean
You are a genius OMG 😮
Nice job, i think restoration is on of the most satisfying things we can do

Great to see you do restoration as well mate. I love these kind of videos. The epoxy finish on the head makes it a real decorative piece, which can be used as well.
Nice work. It looks great.
Nice Job, you could've taken the sanding deeper to get at the pitting, but the end result is still very good and the pitting gives it some character anyway.
Great Job Glen!!! I love watching restoration videos!!!
Beautiful job. I just picked up the same hatchet at auction for $5. Can't wait to refurbish it.
This is probably my favorite transformation video I've seen so far on youtube, Great Job!!

Great job, loved how you hand made the handle, it really makes everything come together. Coulda, woulda, shoulda done it like this or like that, just do it the way you want and enjoy.
Very nice job, Thanks !
Good job man!!! Looks clean!!!!
Excellent work!
Nicely done.
ASMR senses are tingling
That was a quick one mil subs. Congratulations on your success, it's a testament to the work you put into your channel.
Fantastic video. Looks like the axe has been in the ground. Great job on the restoration 👍
Good job! I think it would also look pretty cool to put epoxy where you have the steel rods.

Awesome project and it came out amazing.
Excellent! Good job!
I liked the pits being drilled out like cavities. Smart.
Very nice Glen.
Excellent work!!
Parabéns pelo trabalho !!!! Com sabedoria sempre conseguimos excelentes resultados..........................
Very nice, Great job.
Awesome work as always. I like the attention to detail u put into every piece u do. Love this channel bro, keep up the great work
Awesome project! Thanks for sharing!
Well done!
once you get it polished like that, try one by heating up to 170 degrees, and doing a cold bluing on it. you can use several layers, and with 0000 steel wool bring about a black pearl look to the metal. You may like it
Wow, it came out really nice! I also like how you used a file to shape the handle. I have never seen anyone do that. Most people use a belt sander to do that. I like your way better. Good job!
Looks beautiful I'm restoring a small axe myself I hope mine turns out as good as yours
That’s a clean looking hatchet!!!
You did a beautiful job👏👏👏👏👏

that is one nice looking hatchet! I love the pins in the handle actually
just finished an old Craftsman 1/2 axe a friend gave me. was able to use the butt end of an old 36" handle I saved from a previous restoration AND it came off an old craftsman single bit.
That is really nice work Glenn, Kudos to ya, All the best from North London UK.
