The r spec has 429hp V8 lotus tune suspension system ... German 8speed tranny ... Rolls-Royce sound system ...5/6 disc DVD/CD/MP3 changer... voice command NAVIGATION system... Motorized Rear privacy shade... This car is a special edition they only made it for 3years definitely a unicorn

You got a fantastic deal. I have a 2013 Genesis with 135,000 miles on the clock, and it drives like a dream. The interior still looks excellent and is very reliable mechanically.

Before purchasing a Genesis, check your service wait times. I purchased a 2019 G90. It takes a month to get service and now, I've had 2 dealerships decline the valet service because, "I didn't purchase it from them". That wasn't what was promised. I even called Genesis USA. The person on the phone knew of the problem but offered no help. Now, the G90 is over $100K. This is crazy. If you want to burn $100K why not get married ? If I'm to be lied to and treated this way, I might as well purchase a BMW. At least I'll have the badge snobbery we all know of.

I have a 2012 R-Spec with 101k. Still runs like the day it came from the factory.

Dang that is a great price. Fix the cosmetic stuff. Dont know the mileage but you should get alll fluids changed at a dealer to be safe. I have a 13 rspec 126000 milea white with all black interior. Yes very fast and I have flowmaster FX mufflers. Sounds perfect now. I have a few videos posted

Both awesome vehicles, 5.0 is a beast, I have the same engine in my Genesis G90 5.0 Htrac Ultimate. Reliability is a 10!

I love the old Geneses vs the old.

They are NOT both 429 horses. The 2013 is, but the 2015 is rated at 420 horses, but a bit more peak torque than the 2013.

429hp for the black and 420hp for the silver. 4200 lbs for the black and 4600 black for the silver.

The Pedal Commander brings the 2013 0-60 time down to around 4.6 seconds. Additionally, even though it feels responsive in sport mode, it performs significantly better with the Pedal Commander. Moreover, the 2013 model has slightly improved and faster shifting compared to the 2012 version. With the 93 octane tune, it can Gap Scat Packs and keep up with a10 Mustangs. Though I still took the L, I managed to keep up with the guy a10 mustang it was like a slow 2 car gap lol.

I just picked up a genesis r spec as well from auction for 4k. Love the car doin all the maintenance on it cuz its at 97k. how many miles did the one u pick up have?

I have a 3.8 and now want the 5.0 so bad 😭

I own a 12-14 5.0, and to be fair, trans issues can be hit or miss for those year model 8 speeds but other than that, the 5.0's and 4.6's are very long lasting engines with the proper care...the 12-14 should be slightly faster tho since they only weight around 4300 pounds while the 15's+ clock in at a rough 4700 which is almost 😂truck weight...Hytundai could of at least added 20-40 extra horses to the 5.0's for the later years, but they just went head and forgot all about the notorious v8.

yea thats cause of the extra sound deadening, i do wish they made an r-spec version of the 2015+, all we got was the sport but it has pretty much the same acceleration as the v8. however those 3.3t engines wake up a lot with a tune and can match the 12-14 5.0

From the KZread videos that watch the 2015 and up 5.0 have 9 less hp than 2012-14 5.0. The 2015 and up have a little more torque and the transmissions seem to shift better. I’m former challenger scat pack owner living overseas looking to buy a 13-14 r spec lower mileage as first choice or 2016-19 g80 5.0 second choice.I appreciate the videos that got me interested in a brand that I knew about but had forgotten. I knew about their v8 but never realized how good it is.

Old Genesis is 429 hp the newer one is 420 hp? Also the older one is faster and a little lighter. Also I think the older one looks better. Sucks no mods for the 5.0 Rspec.

Yeah the old one is a rocket for sure, I also noticed that the old one doesn’t have any driving mode options like sport mode and it doesn’t have paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Haha your horse power is off by 9 . 2014 and older have 429hp. 2015 and newer have 420.. not big difference tho

The 5.0 is 5.0 for v8 AND also many for the horse and can power of v8 because 5.0 means 5 liters for v8 is 8 sillinders and v8 of the 5.0 is for gallon. R spec is short for special meaning for r special race
