Olbia Sardinia Travel Guide | Don't make these mistakes!
Sardinia has beautiful beaches and picturesque cities to explore. We made mistakes on our trip in 2022 that we could have avoided, so we'll share so you don't make the same mistakes. In this travel guide we'll share tips and tricks for visiting Sardinia Italy. We stayed specifically in Olbia, so the public transportation section is more specific to Olbia although other tips apply to Sardinia and even Italy as a whole. We'll review how we prefer to get euros, the best way to get phone data and how to get around Sardinia.

Great tip! Was wondering about cell phone coverage in Sardegna. Great advice on the E-Sim card. Definitely renting a car for my 6-day trip in September

Glad you enjoyed it! We’re actually planning a trip to Corsica in October. Can’t wait. It looks beautiful. Cagliari is the opposite direction of Corsica 😅 your best bet would probably be to fly haha otherwise you’d need to get from Cagliari to the north so you can take a ferry to Bonifaco or Ajaccio . Looks like the ferries leave from Porto Torres or Santa Teresa Gallura.
Good to know about the international driver's permit. I think they last a while too, like two years?

It’s actually only valid for one year and it’s $20 which is lame. It makes it hard to get one and have it ready for potential trips.

Did u use a specific app to locate the bus stops and bus times or just Google maps?

We just used Google maps. In Olbia the ARST bus stop was a little off from what google maps said but everything else was great. Here’s a google maps list with some helpful locations. I forgot to include it in the description before 😅 maps.app.goo.gl/1AkWXrxAXjba6ec69?g_st=i
