the first gen seat was also like that i mean i heard from the zomato guy who replaced like 6-7 seats due to seat getting depressed in boot area because 100kg around weight user. The plastic used in seat is not tough enough to take the weight at boot area so that guy modified it by using small size playwood to give extra support to seat. Btw ola gives the range shown on odo. I get 120 on the daily use for 4-5 day of ride including battery drain. With beta i was also getting 140 but yes i would say ola has improved a lot on range. i mean the predicted range is so much accurate you can't go wrong with it. At first i was not trusting it.

Fact about ola seat and suspension. I Don't know why ola is not focusing on customer's complaints. If they listen to customers they'll surely improve and able to build as trusted brand in Indian market.

3-4 times I faced the performance issue on ola gen 2 ..the mode was not changing after 5-6 mins travelling in hyper mode on above 100 speed so...nothing much is improved in gen 2

The Singasandra ola service center replaced my side stand switch in 25 minutes after I arrived. So far I have had great service and no complaints in 2 years riding

You should retest the first gen s1 as your old test was very bad, with no regen, old os, running in hyper and sport modes and higher avg speed. Ola made a lot of improvements.The first gen also has a bad seat for heavier riders. For the money, the s1 pro is definately competative. Please test the simple one if it ever launches. They told TOI that a large batch shipped in december 23, but i think that was wishful thinking. Also the tvs icube st is supposed to launch and that would be a good test. The new ather diesel family scooter (i think its electric and not diesel), would be a good choice too. There is not a lot of innovations now in e scooters as the standard seems to be set for the premium bikes and all the new models will be low cost cheap hub motor types. Looking forward to the new motorcycles which should come in the next few years.

So far I was able to get 90Km from 75% charge. I estimate I can extract about 115Km range max. with the remaining 25%. One day I had an opportunity to test 120Kms but couldn't make it because of an issu with my scooter. After 20 mins of the ride Start, my scooter suddenly stopped making a huge noise and vibration. Later it was found that MCU was gone. And how ola fixed this issu is altogether another interesting story. But on this topic, I still didn't get a chance to test for more than 90Km in one single charge.

Even in eco mode my ola shows only 134 km of range. Doesn't run more then 100-110 km when fully charged. And runs less then 100 kms in normal mode.

😂 I have ather 450x gen 3 and have achived 126km on single charge, my average speed was 40-45 kmph. Ather is far far better overall. ❤

For your weight this is huge buddy

My s1 after 1 year and 11000km gives around 110 km ....with move os 3 it was around 95 km single person but after an update to move os 4 it easily gives 110+ on a single person .....with a pillion I don't see a difference of more than 5km

Idk why people curse Ola service, in my city their experience center support is great!

Speedometer is fake i have tested it with bike speedometer as well as to gps speed riding ola it's showing 60kmph but in real it's showing in bike(TVS Radeon) 48-49 very disappointed Please test it with google maps or gps speedometer But appreciate your work man ❤️

Never liked design of OLA, no physical key, manufacturing defects here n there. When i bought Ather during that time there was gen 1 ola in the market had seen so many videos of suspension breaking, even heard it from my friend about their ola breaking down like that. Gen 2 no. of cases in rear suspension breakdown. Software glitchs making scooter go fast than 5 kmph in reverse. I have ather there negative is they are not trying to improve on range, but the biggest advantage is one other hand that they have good number of fast charging network. After all both are indigenous brands so i am happy for both of them ❤

Issue in my new ola s1 pro Delivered 1day before The belt make noise(😂😂kitch kuch type sound😂) but after pressure washing the belt ...the noise disappear.... But this problem comes again and again after riding for next 1or 2 hours

Too costly, EVs are very costly priced. They charge more for the frame and body than petrol vehicles. 80000 for petrol vehicle minus 50% of vehicle for engine and all components = 40000 minus profit 20000 = 20000 for vehicle body. Keep 20000 for body in ev also. Then total price of vehicle - 20000+90000(battery)+15000(motor)+15000(touch) +15000 for charger+20000 profit = 1800000. And this is retail prices. I am sure company is making more than 20000 maybe around 40-50k per vehicle. Still quality is not as good as petrol vehicles

so petrol scooter has 40k worth of components while EV has 0? All other Electronics like MCU and temperature sensors and wiring and charging safety controller and the need to water proof them is all not accounted for . If you are comparing it to a 80K scooter which i assume is base variant activa 125 without disc brakes with no electronics other than basic ones which have been in industry for years and are cheap then compare it to lower model like s1X or Bounce infinity E1. Company are burning money actually OLA just released the just turned profitable , so not sure where they are taking 40k profit . Chetak has a good body but mediocre range no touch screen and no fast charging . so you can see giving both is currently impossible under 1.5 lac

Why do we need so many modes first of all... We have created more problems than solutions. We should not innovate so much that we create problems than solutions. Why do we need 7 inch touch screen... All unnecessary, when you are riding what do you need? Just odo meter, speed indicator, range/battery left. maybe navigation (but can be done on phone). If you want to provide more info, you can do that in subsequent screens. Just provide one button to move through screens in an order. Touch screen will eventually burn i mean lcd's are subject to pixel burning after few years of use. Then replacing these is 15000 simply.

Let me break down a few issue your comments have 1) multiple modes are given so more variety of people can be reached with same product , Imagine ather with only warp mode , half of the people wont buy because of bad range and jerky accelration which doesnt suit every one 2) screen size can be reduced but then comes issue of not providing enough details like trip meter and navigation itself . Using phone is possible but again its another gadget that you need mount every time . same reason your smart phone does the work of phone, camera , computer , nagivation etc , its convenience , did we have other gadgets then yes but is it more convenient yes. 3) Oled screen have burn in not LCD , LCD tech uses a bright white back light and a liquid crystal which changes to show you color . it actually doesnt have pixels leds which can burn in if left not changed for a while.

I am very disappointed
