Thank you! That is so true. We were thanking ourselves for bringing 3 frozen bottles and 2 just cold. It's exhausting being out there all day. Normally we only bring a couple and it doesn't last, this time we were coming prepared lol

the watermelon lemonade over by the ferris wheel was my fav

Yessss that's the one we tried at first for $6. Then we tried one up by the games for $12 and it wasn't great. The Amish donuts with the lemonade by the ferris wheel was our favorite thing there! We went back another day just to get that lol

@@LivinanOKlife yah, not a fan.. and I remember when bricktown was nothing but dust and crackheads. lol I lived in something like 15 states and I wish we had more to do, say BLM land and all that free camping in other states. I honestly can't think of anything to do in Oklahoma as a state. Even less you can do without spending money.

I'm visiting friends in OKC. I'm so hyped since this looks larger than our state fair in Maryland 😂

Lol make sure you get the one by the bandstand/ big ferris wheel it's $6. If you see the stand with the one for $12 by the games runaway 😂that last one was not sweet.

Looks like fun 🙂. I grew up six blocks from the fairgrounds when it was off 10th street. Went to sleep at night listening to the fair sounds. I didn't know that I missed it till I saw this video. Thank you very much for sharing. Brought back a lot of memories.

P.S. At the old fairgrounds my dad built the little round brick wall around the arrows to atoms thing. He was a brick layer with a good reputation for his work. I was so proud that they asked him to build it.

@@LivinanOKlife No, I moved to Arkansas in '77 and haven't been back to the fair since. And now my health is not so good so I doubt that I will ever be able to go back to Oklahoma again. I do miss the state and my family. And both of my parents are buried there. I do get homesick at times but I know that God knows His plans for me so I just trust Him and remain blessed and highly favored.

I’m beyond amazed how they let h in with bags !! Dallas has metal detectors and police at the gate no bags of any kind

Lol we are surprised too since most places have a clear bag policy now, but they did have security with metal detectors and they had to look in the bags

Constitutional carry state full of good people, you are basically surrounded by security wherever you go.

Looks like you didn't make it up to my side of the fairgrounds, North West side. I run the Pirate Plaza stage which has some great kids shows. If you come back out you should check out the shows.

Yessir plenty of rides! They looked fun. The lines to buy armbands were set up nicely too, really organized.

to be on a fair isnt my favourite freetime activity… but thank you for showing it :) i want to travel to OKC once again but i dont have a drivers license

😮 it's definitely getting more and more expensive each year. We try to eat things together to save on money cause it can add up quickly
