If Sweat works on his conditioning more the kid is gonna be a monster. In the words of Scooter “T’Vondre Sweat is a grown man”

Love the way he plays. And he’s not just a space occupier. Bro can rush the passer. He had a filthy long arm in this game and he’s also got a nice swim move. I have him top 15 on my big board

In addition to the size, length, power, initial quickness and good, active hands, I’m really impressed with Sweat’s balance, body control and agility for a man his size. And he was dominant in this game, consistently pushing the pocket and resetting the line of scrimmage and making plays up and down the line. Byron Murphy was winning most of the day as well with his power and explosiveness. Collins is a good player. Braughton is a good player. I mean they have a bunch of ass kickers on the interior of that D line. I think where they fall a little short is that they’re missing that one true, athletic-freak, difference maker on the edge. If they had a guy like that they’d be right there with any of the best D lines in the country. Sorrell is a pretty good player. 91 and 1 show some flashes. But they just don’t have that elite edge guy to take that awesome interior push to the next level. (I thought the last couple years they should have tried to put some lbs on a freak like Overshown and given him a shot on the edge.)

certainly sweat's best game. I didn't think much of him as a pass rusher and I really still don't but this performance was encouraging. Can definitely be a long life-spanned NFL player with his ability to take up space and stop the run.

Came here for Guyton. Agile feet, natural mover. Not super explosive out of his stance, but very smooth when he needs to mirror the edge. Strong initial punch. Doesn’t really have a mean streak in the run game, more of a zone blocker. Very aware of his assignments and often helps out his guard when he can. Pass blocking is ++.

@@sirdaddylops5398 Gotta put some respect on Patrick Paul as well. I have yet to watch Guyton in-depth, but Paul is probably one of the best pass protectors in the class.

@@thedraftsphere8904 I LOVE Paul but I haven’t watched enough from him to make any final thoughts. I have him tentatively at OT6 but could move him up or down when I get more into his game.

Interesting. I love the potential but I see it a little differently. I think one of the best things about him is that he does have an explosive first step, which allows him to hit his landmarks quickly and consistently and get to the 2nd level very quickly. And then when he does get to the 2nd level you see the natural bend, body control and overall fluidity to execute well in space. There’s two elements to a first step: there’s the snap timing element and then there’s the actual amount of ground they cover and the duration they cover it in when they do trigger. I think the snap timing can occasionally lag but the amount of ground he covers in a short time on his first step when he does trigger is very good. Maybe more of a zone run blocker than gap/power scheme guy because he’s not a big time people mover but when he takes good angles he has the body control to handle quicker, twitchier guys in space well. Some of his very best reps are of him pulling and executing gap scheme run blocks, and though he’s not blowing dudes up he’s still executing the block at a high level in terms of being able to wall guys off and/or get enough lateral movement to displace the defender from the hole. I don’t think he has a lot of pop in his hands. I think his punch lacks not only power but the timing and accuracy are very much a work in progress. A lot of times he gets antsy with his punch and ends up punching too early and kinda telegraphing it. He’s very angular and lean up top and I think he needs to add significant upper body mass and strength. Also needs to improve grip strength - that early rep against 88 Sorell where he attaches and then just gets tossed aside quickly is one example. He does flash nice independent hand usage at times. When trying to anchor against power his hands often get wide and he resorts to hugging and hanging on for dear life. There’s a rep against Collin Oliver and 2023 Ok St. where Guyton does his bear hug but Oliver manages to still just push right through him for the pressure. And while Oliver is pretty explosive he’s not a big man. The pad level is an issue at times as well. And his base can get a little narrow occasionally. The recovery ability is good. He certainly has the agile feet and body control to reset his feet quickly when he does get a little off balance but he’ll still too often give up too much ground when he does have to reset and anchor. Needs to get add upper body strength and needs to get way more consistent with his hands but there’s a lot to like.

I think keys to his success at the next level will be getting in the weight room. Needs more upper body strength, but his ability to move in space and to mirror the edge when presented with speed is something to get excited about.

Guyton is really thin at 6 foot 7. Could easily put on 20 pounds with that frame. As of right now he's sort of a raw project that kind of just gets in peoples way. But could be a golden ticket if developed correctly.

Came here for Drake Stoops. Quick in and out of his breaks, solid overall blocker for a guy his size, offers some positional versatility. I'm surprised OU didn't get him the ball more
