jiggahippo I do know his history. He died in his home in North Carolina.

Some one remaster this He is not charging or milking you it is straight knowledge. From the source. What a dude. took some ni ken kai kempo as a kid but this stuff looks fun. Much respect to this artist and master.

I have to thank you for sharing this video. It is very interesting to watch a master that knows how to apply his deep routed knowledge of okinawa te. From what I got to know Sensei Chandler died already. I regret this. May he rest in peace.

He was a great teacher I took his class for about 6 years he did pass away several years ago I think he was living in Boone NC when he was found deceased

This is awesome!

Beautiful kata and deadly in technique, the problem with the application is that its karate vs. karate, which is unrealistic. Use the HAPV (Habitual acts of physical violence} theory from McCarthy in application of this kata and now its a master level of application, as well as a real life protection art.

I trained with Sensei Chandler a few times, along with Sensei Ron Lindsey. Great people, and generous with their knowledge. Met a lot of great people through them, too. Roy Osbourne, being one of them. I miss Chuck. He would send me wild ginseng he foraged while out in the bush.

I remember a lot training with him. He flipped me on basically concrete, busted my nose, gave me all sorts of bruises. My dad couldn't stand him, but Sensei Chandler was a very interesting character. RIP Sensei!

I have documentation regarding Lindsey and many others showing the high amounts of money that these people paid to Chandler think they were getting a real certificate from Okinawa only to be sent a fake, made-up certificate from Chandler himself. Yabiku Sensei never received this money and never issued any certificates! As for the Ginseng, native Chinese and Korean ginseng growing in the wilds of Carolina? Really???

@@benabdallahmohammedmortada5661 hello. The master of chu k chandler was takaya yabiku and he is my master too. Our katas are bot accepted in tournaments and I don't care. I don't pract2karate for tournaments. I teach a karate style that have 6 katas only

Hello All, Please allow me to qualify something here, This is NOT the "Gohoken" kata ... it is a very bad and changed rendition of the Butoken Kata that was created by myself and Yabiku Takaya Sensei at Sunshine Nagata, Naha-shi Okinawa in 1995. Chuck Chandler knew of my visited and pestered me for my personal library of Video and hundreds of photo's of Yabiku Sensei which I stupidly sent to him at that time , something I will always regret as Chandler changed all the original forms and then used Yabiku Sensei's good name to sell Chandler's own video's. He especially pestered me to send him the Gohoken (An Advanced form that no-one else was taught except myself). by that time I realized what Chandler was doing so I personally filmed myself doing bits and pieces of the basic Butoken kata and sent that to Chandler only to see that he ghanged it as well!

I visited Yabiku Sensei twice on Okinawa and two of my personal students also visited him on separate occasions to learn from Yabiku Sensei and to return to my Dojo with those teachings. Chandler also RIPPED OFF my personal photo's of Yabiku Sensei for the Bugeisha Magazine . The front cover photo of Yabiku Sensei is mine and Chandler was not given my permission to use it in any way! Chandler also charged huge amounts of money for Certificates supposedly from Yabiku Sensei on Okinawa .... the only problem was that Yabiku Sensei told me he never received any such payments nor issued an certificates! Chuck had ripped of a design of Yabiku Sensei's Certificates and "Awarded" them on Yabiku Sensei behalf, which was not true. I have copies of all the payments made to Chandler, Lindsey, Osbourne, Stech, Escarra etc for these so-called certificates. I have kept proof of all of my dealings with Yabiku Sensei ... a good and decent man as well as the disgusting behaviour of Chandler.

I wonder, if these atrocities were brought upon you, why did you not challenge this when Chandler was ALIVE?!? You're so disgusted, but really you come across as a whiney little baby. The kata is effective as demonstrated. That said, no martial artist worth anything would put this out there without alterations intentionally. My guess is, you're a crappy student and got the kata you earned regardless of what you paid.

Very useful for fighting off the mosquitos

I guess someone would have to fight the mosquitoes off you. You can't do it yourself but yeah Chuck probably would have fought them off of you so you wouldn't be whining

@@user-fd5us7yd2t Chandler's real teacher, unfortunately, was Sandoval Tony Sensei. Not only was he a consumate lier, but also a scamer and rip off artist. He ripped off Sandoval Sensei, and betrayed him to Ronald Lindsey, and all his students, but he also ripped off Yabiku Sensei and Goninan Sensei.
