It's pretty much the same as marriage because at least for Americans, one's partner is the only person one (might) end up spending much time with for life. It's probably not different worldwide. It's what they don't tell kids about, when it comes to the difference between friends and partner, which is that friends pretty much exist only during childhood, for the most part at least. That's pretty much the only difference that matters in the end, too: whether they are *even there* in the first place.

I get that urge plenty of times, it just normally goes unfulfilled. That said, hugs are fine, but I really can't think of any same-sex friend I've ever had that I wouldn't feel at least mildly repulsed by if I kissed them (properly). Just not built that way, I guess. But I think part of it is the relationship dynamic, too. It wouldn't feel right. I wonder if this is one of those things that's probably different for women. ...before people take this out of context again... Kiara didn't mean anything lewd. This is very German phrasing from Kiara translated word for word into English. In English the meaning appears to be quite different, judging from the general reaction to Kiara using that phrase. This is some good content, yes, fantastic.

Don't do this.... don't give me hope... To be fair, I can actually buy that Okayu doesnt think too much of it, beyond the fact that she likes kissing Korone. Somehow she sells that well. But... THIS IS HELLA GAY. There! I said it! I dont care! Teetee, obviously, great friendship, beyond a doubt! But there are limits to what I can take as freaking straight girl friendships, even in Japan. Even if Okayu and Korone dont have romantic feelings for each other somehow, I am pretty sure now that there is at least a physical/emotional attraction to this. Okayu always seemed straight to me, but on the other hand that's because of my cynicism. And Korone has been giving hints of being interested in women sometimes, but glossed over it. Maybe, just maybe, these two are living out a pseudo-romance for the sake of giving those feelings a voice, even if they generally are fine not dating. It honestly sounds like Okayu doesn't. Like she's really coming across as a bi person who doesn't know that's she not straight in this clip. "It's perfectly normal to want to kiss your friends, right guys? It doesn't mean anything, even though I don't want to kiss people other than Korone." I don't know about Korone though. She's so unfailingly cheerful that it's hard to tell what's a joke and what isn't.

Maybe she does understand she is in that limbo between, but genuinly thinks this is okay and doesnt need to go further. Right now, she seems to be happy with the way things are, and that is a great motivator for many people not to change anything.

They refer to one another as their lover, make tacit references to their nighttime activities, got matching engagement rings engraved with each other's names, and talked about how they don't like being referred to as "husband and wife" because it's heteronormative and they're both girls.

So either there's definitely romance or these two have just the worlds best friendship, and I honestly don't know which is cuter.

Okayu is a true cat. She found a BFF and claimed them, and doesn't need attention from anyone else. Very clingy and would do anything with Korone, but refuses to do it with others.

To be fair, I wouldn't say "urging" per se, AFAIK she's not one of the intense BL fans, the tone came off more like "Wait isn't this normal?" at first, then more "Wait, it's so heavy a no that you wouldn't even do it for a million yen?" and then "Hm, I guess now that you mention it, it's only Koro-san"
