Hey I was gonna post this comment! But then I saw it already lying here.

Canonically the Cymanti have a bug that merges with their heads, giving them their appearance, so I like to imagine that the shaman just forcibly attaches a bug to an enemy unit's head, facehugger-style, forcing them to convert.

Nike unit heavily counter centipede, except when the knight finish off the mid part of a three-part centipede which the bottom part will become a new centipede.

Cymanti knight replacement just isn't as good because it 10 stars and 2 knights kill 2 doomux and it cant really wipe out hordes like knights which by the way is so fun

There’s something you’re missing for water maps, those lil flying bugs can capture villages meaning if you rush to the archery tech early you can explore and take over the whole map super quick while most tribes are struggling with slower boats.

Hey Gully, try playing against the Cymanti. I tried and the combination of hexapods and how quickly they can get centipedes on dry lands definitely makes them overpowered.

I feel like swordsmen would be the only real counter to hexapod spam but you’d need quite a few. Hexapods are pretty broken right now

I have a strategy i want you to know. This got me my first 3 star domination. I use the shalma. And boosted maily hexipod early game which insta kills any enemy troops and in the early most tribes dont have any sort of extra defance.

I faced a friend who used the tribe, and I won. But I've played lots of games with him and we already know I'm a bit better than him. I faced a bot in glory, but never in domination.

I mostly play tiny maps, and I've won all but one game against Cymanti. Not sure if they are tougher in larger maps when they can ramp up without constant harassment.

Counter to Cymanti is mind bender. Finally mind bender is kinda useful

Stealing a giant like that is a game ending move. Well, nearly always. I had the shaman giant trick happen against me in a multiplayer game recently. Played Bardur against Cymanti and thought I saw a chance to grab his capital with a giant when I discovered it. Damn I felt stupid. I nearly resigned right there. Though I eventually took out the giant and shaman, I fell far behind. But it was a domination game and I made a desperate push for the capital again and put a giant on it. After a single centipede push he couldn't break the siege and I won even though by this time he had twice the points and the rest of the map was crawling with his Doomuxes

what would it take to cymanti in 900 tales map?

I have a nice challenge, in that you have to go in circle making units. Like if you choose knight, warrior and catapult, you need to make knight then warrior then catapult and not any other units. Play against 2 hard and 2 crazy. I call it "The complete army". Everyone please like this so he can see.

They're scary to face early game, but late game not so much. Especially if you already have chivalry/ navigation

@@baulderos1950 the problem is not how much damage they can do, it's about getting a 2 to 3 turn head start in exploration. By the time you can go to deep sea, the Cymanti might already explore a large part of it

After a hundred 1v1 Cymanti games with only two losses (vs. Cymanti), I believe they are most definitely overpowered. Add the BLK nerf and you have one crazy tribe. Also, I think you under sold their Navy. At 5s per unit, they are quickly spammable (so long as you have cities on water). Couple with a fast fast Archery tech, you're exploring overseas before any other tribe. Spamming algae nerfs battleship movement giving another big advantage. The Poly team will surely spoil it soon, so play it now before they nerf it! Your move, Midjiwan!

Maybe a good counter would be shield spam because their high defence would counter the hexapod offence and kill them outright. Cymanti appears to be a bit of a glass cannon and can’t get chonky units like giants without mind bending

roads be healing instead of movement

1. Cymanti are weak early game because they start with a shaman, which mean that if you start near any civilization you will have a disadvantage. 2. I think they are very op when it comes to water world because they're archery unit can go into deep sea and mountain without tech upgrade, which give you a head start into exploration. 3. You can use explosion to create land bridge in the area that is not in your control to move your land unit across 4. As far as I know they're the only tribe that can produce AOE damaged unit. 5. Their resource production is heavily based in the water so it is an important part for them in late game

I love this tribe but once I was playing with this tribe a mind bender and takes my centipede which had 10 tails.

I Love the new tribe but they are giving me pre nerf Bardur vibes. Not quite but you know what I mean.

The only viable early game options for hexapod counters are defenders and polytaurs

No shaman at the beginning and hexapods should cost 3 stars, at the moment i think this tribe is too strong, he's got both decent eco and overstated units

Do you plan on going multiplayer against your subscribers at some point? I'm sure most of your subs are more competent than random players.

if you think cymanti on a normal size drylands map is OP, try a tiny size drylands map. I crushed 2 good polytopia players in a 1v2 by simply rushing centipedes.

The only valid nerf that cymanti should have is less archer\hexipod mobility and deleting the duplication function on the super unit

Cymanty is a best tribe on the ground,but not in sea.They are good on the biggest map btw.

Cymanti isn’t that great actually... Because it has no persist that means that ranged enemies could easily camp them out. I played a lot matches online with them and when they start spamming catapults it’s just over. I guess persist is key for a good tribe.
