Even though I'm from Pakistan, but as I'm a huge fan of Mr. A R Rahman, I understand Tamil a bit which is strange for someone from Pakistan ... This original version of the song from O Kadhal Kanmani is the best on any given day... I've watched OK Jaanu also and listened the Hindi songs too...but the original Tamil version is the best.... especially Aditya Roy Kapur and shradhha can never match the level which Dulquer and Nithya have created...hats off...

ARR is by and large far ahead of 99% of other Indian music directors in most aspects even now but it is a fact that he is in a decline for a good 15 years now. He has given outstanding music even in this period but it is never consistent. Some of his stuff is shockingly ordinary. His only work that can truly stand the test of time and his own legacy are in Rockstar and Chekka Chivantha Vanam in the last decade. To me ARR is music itself but I can accept this fact wholeheartedly.
