Props to ANY young lady that can walk in stacks like that and not snap an ankle in half!

I was watching another video on Japanese foot wear and the guy said it takes 3 years to learn to walk this way apparently it they have to walk this way because of the shoes he said it takes a 10 min Walk and turns it in to a hour long walk

@jimmywalden1615 I can see why it takes 3 years! I can mentally hear the noise my ankle would make when I fouled up. It's a nasty snapping crunch I've heard before once, and never wish to again!
I'm thinking how heavy those clothes would be. And smoothly she's walking on those mighty shoes. The power in her toes to lift and control them!
The culture is already calling me to Japan.. From India ❤🇮🇳👋🏻

So beautiful and graceful! I have shared it amongst some friends who will be highly interested in this. Now they can enjoy how beautiful, graceful and elegant the lady and the entire procession is.
The most.beautiful of the oiran dochu walks❤
Yes, I'm here after watching the oiran walk in Kimetsu no Yaiba.
The oiran looks sad which is appropriate given the kind of job she had.

Oiran likely ended up as the pampered consort of a high ranking man, kind of like a trophy wife; and as long as she never displeases him, she could live out her life in comfort.

I visited Edo Wonderland when I vacationed in Japan in 2017. Fun for all ages. You can rent era specific costumes like samurai, farmer, etc. I learned how to make rice cakes and play the shamisen. They can teach you how to properly swing a katana sword. Spent about 4 hours there including 1 hour drinking sake!
👍👍👍🔥👊👊👊
Poor Daki.
Hello. I'm interested in seeing this Oiran parade, but I can't find much information on the internet. Could you tell me where exactly in Japan it occurs? I noticed that the video is dated July 29th, does it only happen on that day of the month or does it occur on other days in July?

This is at the Edo Wonderland in Nikko. It is a fun Ninja/Samurai town here is there web site edowonderland.net/en/ if you look at the schedule section it looks like its at 1:45pm (13:45) everyday. It’s a parade in Edo Wonderland. You have to look at the calendar of operation for the days they are open. I hope this helps.
Still beautiful to this day ...What did she say at the end

Lady Murasaki the previous video I posted had this parade but, it was a different camera which died during the end of the parade. Or maybe it was someone else's video? I don't know why but, I can watch this video over and over. It's so interesting how they all move together and what they shout out. It's weird, interesting and cool all in one! Thanks for watching Lady Murasaki! Aloha =)

That's the point, exaggeration. She was supposed to be worth the money investment and also be a role model for other women as the 'ideal' woman. So this was the top class standard, and these rich men paid for it.
