    Any solution for the low oil pressure Q5 8rb CGLC 177hp TDI? Changed oil sensors, oil pump without result. I drive it like this for 8000 km, if it was something serious with the engine, i think it might be failed since now. Any advice to fix this annoying error???Thank you

    A lot of the other guys with slick videos leave the most important stuff out like actual video of where things are exactly. They also start taking something off and then cut to when it’s already out. How the hell does that help? I appreciate you showing actually taking stuff off and explaining it. Keep it going, especially on the 2.0 TFSI EA888 stuff!

    I did not know there were two oil sensors. I kept replacing the first one you show but I did not know there was another second sensor. I replaced the brown sensor but I did not replace the blue sensor and that explains why the issue was never fixed. I thought there was only one oil sensor. Thank you sir!!!

Parts are cheap asf too, OEM sensors go for $25 a piece, non OEM can go for like $10 each. I just copped the OEM cuz its not much difference in price. No more Red Oil can lights. Thanks again!!!!!

Eventually took the air box pipes out to get my arm in there to turn the socket. Got an epc light with p164b00 and p164d00, so I replaced blue and brown switches. Errors only occurred when I drove on the highway. So far so good, seems to have resolved it

    Hi mate, Thanks for all these interesting videos regarding the 2.0. As many, I’m concerned about oil consumption due to oil control ring design. I’m very interrested in your future video trying to use chemistry to clean/free the carbonized rings. On my engine (150.000km ->approx 90.000miles) , i did an engine flush, have run approx 500km with 1/5atf in my regular oil but so result until Now. But Still, I’m convinced chemistry should be able to access and dissolve Carbon on the rings. My next move will be to soak for a day my pistons from sparkplugs holes using a strong parts cleaner such as berryman or Gunk carb cleaner. I’ve seen impressive videos/ résults of people just leaving their pistons (dissasembled) into the product but I did not see any feedback of people directly soaking into the engine. My point is thèse products are looking more agressive than seafoam types but I’m wondering about their potential effects on cylinder walls 🕵️‍♂️ What do you think of that? Thanks again for sharing your Knowledge ;) Cheers from France 🇫🇷 ;)

  • @NaptownTuner

    @NaptownTuner

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks, ya I tried a carb cleaner on the piston walls/ cylinder with the head removed on my last job and it seemed harsh with the coating on the cylinder walls I’m going to start with seafoam or marvels mystery oil but I need to come up with a personal running oil consumption car of my own first. I think the fluid being warm would help a lot and some of those fluids I’m scared to heat up but the heat of the engine would help those. Stay tuned and I’ll experiment with a junk block in the future with different chemicals, I’ll get to the bottom of it all as soon as I have time.

  • @NaptownTuner

    @NaptownTuner

    3 жыл бұрын

    Oil doesn’t really come out of the exhaust in my experience, smoke from Burnt oil or carbon/ oil-soot water vapor will come out of the exhaust. On 2009+ the turbos have been good almost without exception (except for the wastegate linkage I have a video on). Could need pistons for oil consumption but you’d know that if you were dumping an expensive amount into it.

    Hi, You make very informative video's, thank you for that! I'm trying to get my 2006 Audi A6 TFSI back on the road. I bought the car car recently with the red blinking "oil pressure - turn off engine and check the oil level" warning in the display. It comes with fault code P000A. So far, i changed my camshaft actuator and my camshaft sensor, changed the PCM, cleaned the engine for carbon. Yesterday i flushed the engine and changed the oil. The oil was looking horribel. What is interesting, is that the oil pressure warning comes up when the engine is cold. When the engine is warm, the warning stay's away - until i boost the engine (above 3000 rpm), then the oil pressure warning comes back. The engine runs fine otherwise. But i do get a "rattle" sound, the first seconds the engine starts (timing chain)? The code P000A stays away a lot longer now, then before i started with this project. Could you be so kind to give me a few pointers, i'm running out of idea's. I guess the most obvious would be the oil pump, what are your thoughts about this engine? Thanks in advance, Remon

My question is are the valve rockers for the intake and exhaust the same ? The reason am asking is because based on diagrams I see online it shows they are the same but for the later model TFSI engine the exhaust rocker has a thinner roller than the intake rocker .. the thing is when I got the disassembled engine it only had one rocker on the exhaust side and it was one with a thinner roller but my exhaust cam does not have different cam profiles so I am wondering if the guys from the other shop dropped that in there in error .. please I need your feedback

    Hello there. I like ur videos u do a great job there. So I have a critical question for you. Audi A5 2010 2.0 tfsi. After some km EPC showing up and the message "Do not exceed max engine engine speed 4000 Rpm". Trying to figure this out I 'd like to ask you if there is a switch problem or if I replace the oil pump (since I know I have poor oil pressure) I will go away. I just want your opinion to this. Thank you

    yes it is. so is the brown one. they are different in a pressure rating. also, you can't swap them out because they're physically "coded". the connector has a groove which is on different side for the blue one then for the brown one.

    you need that blue for the engine block and brown for the oil filter. they have different pressure rating, also, connectors for both look almost the same but they are physically "coded", you will be able to install brown oil switch into the blue oil switch position but you won't be able to connect connector on it

    @@NaptownTuner Honestly your content is good so thank you. The naming is Audi's fault. When I look for videos on my EA113 I find people don't know what to call it. Mine is a turbo FSI but it's not a TFSI. Then you have TSI which people sometimes call TFSI. People should just list the year or engine codes. A lot of people confuse all three FSI, TSI, TFSI. I guess the subject of the video makes sense if you know the years of all these newer models but it would be nice to have a year range added Like (2014-2017) or something. So what is this? EA888?
