The oil fields all have flaring (natural gas that burns off as a by product of the pumping of oil) At night you can see the sky lit up orange in the distance. Sometimes if your coming down a hill and can see out for miles it looks like a scattering of little towns lights reflecting out in the distance; it's not, it gas flaring.
