Sorry if I missed it but can I do this with Dashing Divas wraps and/or Color Street? I’m new to these and this whole concept but I like knowing tips and tricks! My mind is blown that the acetone doesn’t seep underneath the sticker and mess up the adhesive 🙀 how..what?..why??

@@pink1e I took it off with non-acetone nail polish remover. Full acetone makes the gloss strip gummy. Also, when you use the acetone, use it lightly. You don't have to take off all the polish. Just the first 2 layers (I put on 3-4 layers throughout the week).

@@yatyat2791 So far, I like it. My first set of nails lasted just over 2 weeks. My nails are wide towards the tip of my nails so I had to stretch most of it. Looks easy to do but it took me about 45 min, it felt like it took forever but only because I was watching a movie while doing it. Haha. I’m on my second set and it’s doing great. I definitely like it better than painting my nails and overspending to get my nails done. Also, I’ve only been doing manicures. My right handed so my left side looks better than my right 😅

I tried this with Dashing Diva Glaze strips and it did not work at ALL. The polish didn't melt and the acetone definitely got underneath to the adhesive and they ended up falling off really quickly after. Maybe just a difference in what they are made of (or maybe I did it completely wrong, also a possibility). I haven't tried Ohora so maybe I will get a few sets of those to try out at some point.

Yes, I agree... I didn't really notice any effect with the Acetone Trick on Dashing Diva Glaze either. It also doesn't really seem very compatible with Zinipin, even though they are thicker, they seem to be more sensitive to acetone. In my experience though, both of these brands didn't really have any hair snagging with proper application so perhaps just skip it. :)

I've actually been doing my own hard gel, liquid gel, acrylics, dip, you name it I've done it for 20 years and as much as I like these ....I cannot get them to stop snagging my hair even with your tips and tricks. Is there something I'm missing? I use nail dehydrator to make sure it's not an oily bed problem.. I've used the top coat before and after method. And lastly I've tried the tips you've given about the acetone around the cuticle and it still snags my damn hair every time I touch it 😭😭😭

No not really, it only works when the strips are still soft and pliable. However if they are already on and snagging and you want to try to give them a little more longevity before replacing the set, you can file down the cuticle edge to make it smoother and reapply top coat to form a new seal...that has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
