This song brings back memories. I used to literally drag guys to the dance floor to dance to this song and if I couldn't find anyone I'd dance by myself. Awesome song!!!

Just picked this up yesterday along with a fat STACK of late 80's to early 90's house and techno in an obscure shop in a teeny tiny town in the interior of BC Canada. That place blew my mind with the sheer amount of dance vinyl it had in such a little podunk town. I guess they bought the collection of a night club/disco that closed it doors years ago and finally renoed and became a restaurant recently. So all this gold has just been sitting for years in pristine condition! What a find! I got all my records for a buck each! Including a Juan Atkins record You're My Type (Make Your Body Move) single! I'm going back to dig through the 80 thousand plus records they scooped from this place. That place is DANGEROUS for a black crack fanatic like myself.

I think I know who you are talking about. I think if I am not mistaken the shop was in either Kimberly or Cranbrook. The owner was a Dj of an old night club called Night moves in Penticton BC before it was shut down by the owners by the name of Nico Theosedakis. It did become a restaurant later on. I used to work there off an on for a few years but hardly knew the Dj himself. I think his name was Dave or Kevin one of those two. I did know a Terry Thompson when Tiffany's was still open, and that was when Night Moves was open as well. In the eighties both clubs were the hot spots during the Peach Festival in Penticton.

This song will always remind me of being holiday at Centerparcs in 1989 when I was 15. I was bang into acid house and hassled the DJ in the ‘nightclub’ to play something worthwhile. He played this. Everybody else seemed to like it but I was absolutely horrified. This is the first time I’ve listened to it since then. It really is as bad as I remember. Proper underground house and techno still moves me at 44 and I’ll always be able to tell the difference between a good tune and a cheesy pile of bollocks.

@@davestalker I actually liked the song but I could just imagine you at the Centre Parcs giving the DJ some right filthy looks and him totally bemused; he probably thought he'd played some bang on acid house and was proud of himself for it :) I was only 13 at the time and yes it was school disco music I remember it playing.

Not only the lyrics. The song was written by Peter Green (music and lyrics) in 1969 when he was the leader of Fleetwood Mac and the band was an english band. The American version of Fleetwood Mac used to play the song now and then but it didn't sound like when it was played by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.

Really struggling to find this exact version to download. Loads of remixes etc that are really close but 1st heard this in ibiza at Amnesia in 89. Alfredo tearing up the dance floor. One of the best nights of my life.

+angela deimling I remember the tudor house! All the men in uniform would regular there. :) Loved that place! I only went a few times (I lived in Vancouver) when I would visit friends but I have fond memories. Would have been sometime around 92 -95 I figure. :)
