It's the technical director backstage who calls the shots, literally, like which camera feed to stream and sometimes even instruct who to capture. Because Taylor's really popular, it's possible this cameraman had no choice

Im not saying it’s an attractive haircut for everyday, but it’s about what the effect it has on stage. Miley was always attractive tbh, I think style is sometimes an acquired taste, personally I don’t think based on your comment you would have the chops to match Miley in her grace and elegance that’s required to step outside the comfort zone in the manner she does.
