I guarantee Bandai is releasing a blue color version and a black/white color version of this figure. Knowing them lately I doubt either will have an effect part though.

​​@@patrickleslie9932 to be honest...you aren't wrong 😂 cause tamashii did that with shin (who they milked too much). They released the original version then the awakening atomic breath version. Then a frozen version and the translucent night combat version last year. But then again....they didn't milk godzilla ultima and didn't bother to re-release him with atomic breath or make figures of his smaller forms

I got this figure. It came with the tallest dorsal spike broken off. I almost had it exchanged until I saw the qc on the face was actually great! So I glued it the spike back on the plate, and while the price is unholy...I absolutely love this figure! It brings much joy!

Jobby from what I’ve seen from other reviews The first three dorsal plates can move to accommodate for more head upward movement though it is annoying

This came out quick after the members only film and chill, apparently there wasn’t a just playing stream for this

Yay early content. Also one thing you failed to mention at the mouth is the shifting internal membrane on the sides whenever you open and close it. Gives the illusion it's a soft flexible plastic like on the mouth of the Hammond Collection T-Rex. And the top most spine before the biggest one is weirdly ball jointed for some reason. Maybe they are all ball jointed and the rest are just overly tight, but like you I ain't about to mess around and find out Edit: Another note about the individually poseable toes, they are likely meant to work in tandem with the shifting knee as this Godzilla is digitigrade and doesn't have it's feet fully flat on the ground. When shifting it further back it allows the foot to support the figure still while avoiding an ugly mid foot hinge joint of sorts which wouldn't be near as stable. The shifting knee also allows you to change Godzilla into a more familiar upright position if you work it with the mid leg joint. Not really worth doing but hey the option is there

3:21 One more thing you missed the dorsal spines on the neck and move up and down to get more movement but they are also tiny af

Yeah I mean I’m willing to drop big money on a SHMA but the two biggest reasons I love the Minus Goji design are the teeth and eyes and unfortunately… every figure I’ve seen reviewed doesn’t have what would be worth $140

TBH no SHMA figure so far is worth $140.

We all knew that Jobby was gonna review the SH Monsterarts Godzilla figure of the Minus One version of the King of the Monsters.

Glad to see you back at it Jobby. Also digging the new setup! Those glass displays are gonna look really nice lining the wall.

I picked up the KotM Goji a few years back, and I'm happy enough with that being my only Godzilla figure. At least it came with a blast effect part.

4:13 floors me every time because it's 100% accurate to Goji in that movie. Looks oddly adorable, acts in a horrifying manner.

Maybe spines that actually extend would've been too fragile (although I'm no expert) but, a removable set of spines, that could be swapped with some extended spines would allow for a glowing effect on top recreating that breath scene, I think Jobby is being very reasonable

With Bandai releasing Digimon and monsters from Yu-gi-oh as part of the Figure-Rise line, I wish they would release some Godzilla model kits too. There would be very little, if any, need for color correcting stickers.

Man only a few minutes out of the box and it’s left arms inner joint snapped 💀

Really good review! I will be picking this up, but not anytime soon, and i`ll be buying it on sail. Something I wish they did is to have the spines move out (also Jobby the top spines move forward and backward so he can look farther up) and the part of them that was previously inside the figure would be painted blue, and then he`d come with a Mushroom cloud and atomc breath part. But that`s only wishful thinking... like how Jobby thinks about his Girlfriend.

140 dollars without an atomic breath part is criminal in itself But then again, it's not as if Bandai hasn't been going buck wild with P-Bandai releases as of late that really should've been regular releases

When I was a child, I remember a SH Monsterarts figure would go for $50 to $100 for the pricier figures. Even with the problems that (STILL) plague the line like loose joints and lack of accessories. The price point still felt somewhat reasonable. I just can't bring myself to buy a faulty figure for $130. Edit: That 72 goji is actual sex tho, if they make a 74 I'm gonna have to commit.

Yeah piston movement on the spines would take engineering on par with transformers 3rd party covens. To which the price would be an extra $150 for the amount of pistons needed for it as well as the assorted sizes.

Honestly everything a side from the head look good to me. His head just looks so DAMN CUTE!

Only the dorsal fins closest to the head pop off, when i got mine his dorsal fins fell off at the top. But you can just put them back in and they’ll stay, but still easy to fall off if you’re not careful.

3:22 Really? Mine is able to look really far up to recreate that scene. You might just need to mess around with the neck a bit more. Also, as for the spines, there is actually some back and forth articulation in the ones closer to the head. And as for having them jut out like in the movie… let’s be honest, they’re definitely going to be saving that for an altered sculpt for a special color version.

I’m obsessed with the Minus One design and I NEED a figure of it, BUT… I just can’t spring for that price. Hiya Toys, help us!

I remember buying the 2019 monsterarts Godzilla King of the Monsters which was fantastic at the $80 price point. Sad how much the quality has dipped since then
