I like Usyk and would say he is one of the best at this point if you take in consideration all the divisions. He is currently on the level of Tyson Fury at the heavyweight division.

We all saw AJ fight completely different against Usyk...We all said,, "Whys he trying to outbox usyk",,, Why isn't he fighting how he use to...Well now hes fighting how he use to, but with better technique .. And it's not just Ngannou,,Its not the way he dismantled Wallin...you can just see hes becoming a complete boxer..Whether he beats Usyk or not,,, I don't know...But his resurgence should be making every HW boxer take notice...Because he has always been competitive with anyone...But now his footwork, timing, shot selection etc etc, have all improved,, and definitely no longer gun shy.

Not all his fault, no but he didn't help with training drinking mojitos on the beach... People were already thinking Francis would become HW champion before he fights Fury, UFC fans were underestimating boxing big time.

The reason AJ should have celebrated the victories was cos of how professional boxers have tipped these guys to beat AJ.

It's not really about who AJ fought it was the way he approached fight he was focused in fight week he didn't really want to do interviews then it was about how he did the job in the ring he was ruthless, spiteful, and for the first time in a long time AJ was hitting through his opponent all these things have been missing for several years and this makes AJ dangerous opponent for USYK he knows that but also apart from the huge payday he has beaten AJ twice so he really doesn't have to fight him but as usual MONEY TALKS and AJ is the MONEY so it would make sense for USYK to run it again.

People think they improve when they fight lesser opponents then think they degraded when they fight an elite opponent who makes them look average. IMO he didn't change that much. Probably improved a bit with Davidson yes, but not like it's a different boxer like they all say to reassure themselves.

In UFC you do need boxing. There is some fist fighting but its rudimentary. The focus is on wrestling. The dynamic of the fight is different, the pace, the movement. Rounds a shorter and there is less of them. Its easyer to master if you are a good wrestler/sambo/ BJJ fighter as the kicking and punching is basic and easy to learn.

He is speaking facts still, not many technical fighters in that division.

Fury made boxing a laughing stock when he went life and death with Ngannou. Say what you like about Joshua but he certainly cleared up Fury's mess.

As much as I understand the fact that Joshua fought 2 guys who are not at the top , but Wilder made a career of fighting guys who are not at the top and he is seen as this top fighter and the 2 guys who are at the top he fought both beat him

AJ's had 4 fights since the Usyk loss and has changed trainers twice since then, each coaching him for 2 fights. That's 2 training camps and 2 fights, per trainer, for him to see how he gels with them and vice versa, and it seems he's found what works with Davison. Those factors should be people's 1st, 2nd and 3rd considerations when thinking about AJ since Usyk 2 and now, and I'd say it was smart. He under-performed against Franklin and - although he got the KO - arguably did even worse vs Helenius in regards to the damage he shipped to get that job done, so it seems that whatever James was bringing to the table just didn't work. Compared to that he had a much better fight against the more experienced, higher-ranked, physically bigger southpaw in Wallin than he did vs Franklin, and the Ngannou fight/win looks to be a PR job to me moreso than anything. "Fury struggled with him, look what I did" kind of vibes. But even with that in mind, the fact that AJ did a demolition job on Ngannou when so many detractors were saying AJ would be scared and just box to a points win shows a level of confidence that indicates he made the right choice in trying out/changing trainers. I'm hoping we see Wilder beat Zhang and then AJ v Wilder gets made for September - I know there's the potential of AJ fighting the winner of Duboiz/Hrgovic but I'd prefer to see AJ v Wilder ASAP as I can't imagine Wilder's going to stick around the sport for much longer. Time will tell.

Boxing is up there and UfC is below it, huh? You can pick any boxer in the world, the best boxer in the world you can find, and pick the lowest ranked UFC fighter and put them in a room together and the UFC fighter comes out 100 out of 100 times. Furthermore, the Top five women in the 135-145 divisions in the UFC will also come out of that room the overwhelming majority of the time. A boxer is not going to be able to take 2 kicks to their legs. They ain’t going to take one but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and consider the Adrenaline will help them step on that leg but when the second one bites into the meat of the calf or thigh they’re going down. The UFC fighter can throw it as hard as they want because there’s no fear of it being checked. They’re going to think they’re safe and they are going to get hit from a distance that’s unfathomable to them. They can’t defend a takedown. God help them I’m Kayla Harrison is on the room with them. They’re going to get thrown on the ground, shit themselves, and they’re getting their arm taken home as a trophy or they’re going to go to sleep before they even realize they’re being choked. So what, they can throw their punches prettier? There’s less fat on the movement? Their footwork is “better” in their limited ass sport? Ok. But what matters the most? In a fight who wins?
