Marie, thanks for sharing some of the history and sights of the areas in which you fish.
Hi Glen & Marie. Enjoyed the vid. I can tell you that the hammer you found is an upholsters hammer. The ‘split’ end will be magnetic so the person using it could pick up a tack with the magnetic end, tap the tack into the material and then spin the hammer round to drive the tack home.

Can a metal hammer head only be magnetic at one end? I remember reading that when magnetic hammers were introduced (during the 1930's) in the upholstery department of Armstrong Siddeley Motors in Coventry the workers were concerned that they might lead to expectations of a greater work rate. A supply of tacks was usually carried in the upholsterer's mouth so that they could be pushed forwards for use one at a time. Inevitably sometimes tacks were inadvertently swallowed in which case the treatment was to swallow some rice cake. It was soon noticed that workers were falsely saying that they had swallowed tacks just to get a rice cake and so the 'treatment' changed to being given some cotton wool to swallow. One wonders how effective either rice cakes or cotton wool could have been, but then I have not heard of workers suffering ill effects from accidentally swallowing tacks. It would be interesting to learn more.
Marie's Air vent is actually a car hooter. Beep beep.
H Marie ,, At first I thought the OH NO was ,, You threw your magnet with out tying the end of the rope and lost it ,, That was a scary thought ,, I also like all the little bits of history you add to your video ,, See Yah ,
I loved it when you were on the bridge and you keep getting your magnet stuck and showed Glen walking up and down the steps I laugh so hard thaks for that clip it brightened up my day 😄
My favorite pair of dippers. ❤ y’all 2 have the best videos out there! Always a few good laughs and Marie, the history you give on your videos is top notch! I live in the USA, and can’t get enough of British history. The architecture of those buildings is stunning. 😍 Marie, thank you for all of the extra work you put into these vids. Glen, your descriptions of the finds at the end are awesome! Thank you for cleaning those up and searching the history on some of those pieces. Y’all 2 really make great vids.

Awww thank you so much, that really means alot. 🙏❤️
I live here in the midlands and i appreciate the historical gems of info that you give us and all. No matter what you pull out, its, "Better Out Than In" eh? You all seem to have such fun, no matter what. We just love coming along, looking over your shoulder as it were. Exchange rate £1= 100.71 Indian Rupee No matter what you pull out, if its magnetic, it shouldn't be in whichever water course you fish.
Marie your wall bracket looks like a foot peg from a telegraph pole for the work men to stand on when fixing the line's
Re ''medieval shoe horn'', it looks like a bar gate latch, the sort you see on top of a farmers gate.
Great dipping again. Fascinating to watch. Keep up good work 😊
That long bar looks like what we call a spud for logging used for peeling the bark from the log cheers from Blissfield New Brunswick Canada Great finds.
Hey there Glenn and Marie! 👋🏼
Omg. So funny with Glenn climbing stairs. Enjoyable video! Have a great week
im late but the humor in marie and fun from the boys sure puts a smile on my face. love the times out much love cheers.
The bar with the lump at one end flat at the other looks like a farm gate latch to me.
Your videos are getting better and better. They are well edited and the inclusion of all manner of extra bits of information, as well as seeing finds cleaned up, make them interesting even when the finds are thin on the ground.

Appreciate seeing your finds. With bridges that old, never know what will be brought out from the depths. Always the light hearted exchanges between you are enjoyed the most. ♥️👍♥️👍♥️
I can here the church bells and all the birds!
That's when you really know he loves and likes you.
Brave knight is Peaky- coming to Mrs Peaky’s rescue❤❤❤❤just a few hundred times -L😊L. I was chuckling-thank you!! And I don’t think you get enough credit Mrs Peaky- the history shared and significance of the places you visit and fish - incredible and fascinating--the US is quite a bit younger than Britain 🇬🇧 as we all know 😜😜. I could watch history shows ALL day long 😊. Thanks Peaky Crew 🤪❤from Texas, Rose
What a team🥰 Love the bridge back story, for the Royalists this was A Bridge Not Far Enough😵💫😊
I think mysterious item is off a field gate. A sprung latch, that u pull to side to open gate
Beautiful old bridge
I love the aerial view of the bridge. It's so gorgeous!!! I really appreciate the information as well! You guys get to go to the best places! Poor Glenn got a workout going up and down the steps lol. Love the padlock even though it was mucky. Love that little knife to. Love you guys XO
I really like the reviews of the items found at the end. That Danforth anchor should be worth a few bob to a boater. They are also useful to off road and beach drivers here as you hook them to your winch and help you pull your stuck vehicle out.
Thanks for your videos
I'm a yank from across the pond... I absolutely love when you guys show us the history from over there,❤️🩹❤️🩹 Please keep it up because I can't get enough! One of my favorite channels!!!

Culham bridge, we didn't get much out of there either.
The lever is from a gate like the ones on a farm did get a pic but won't let me add it here. Thx for the vids live watching them
15:35 That's peaky getting his daily exercise 🤣🤣🤣
The "iron age shoe horn" may be a break for a iron rimmed wooden wheel. Wooden wheel rim brakes are a very old type of braking system that used a simple lever to press a block of wood against the wheels. This method was effective on steel-rimmed wheels, which were used in horse-drawn and steam-powered vehicles1. However, when rubber tires were introduced by the late 1890s, wooden block brakes became obsolete because they would wear down the rubber quickly. The first modern braking system that replaced wooden block brakes was the mechanical drum brake, invented by Louis Renault in 19021. So your last was half right
You are my favorite magnet fishers! You are always having fun.
The long thing with the bobble and shaped bottom end is a gate latch. I tried to post a link to a picture but KZread removed it.
Cheers guys 💖👌
Brilliant guys 💙
Hi glen and marie hope you are both keeping well. Just love seeing you two together you are brill. Keep the vids coming. Love as always from riky & little summer in aberdeen.xx
Thank you for the history stories
20:06= Caliper? (for measuring).*btw for such a significantly historical site, the people in charge of landscaping seem to have neglected it a bit.🌾🍂🌿🌲🌱☘🍃
That one thing you held up looked like part of a car.
Great video love the history you put up about where you go take care both x
Item at 29m is part of the mechanism that holds a field gate closed, its the spring that gets caught behind a bracket. I do wish these comments allowed pictures to be uploaded.
REALLY ENJOYED! I dont know if I am to feel Sorry for Marie for her magnet getting stuck so much or I am to feel sorry for Glen going up and down the steps for the rescue. I feel Sorry for Marie! Glen you got your steps in 😁 joking. When one has difficult time both does so Sorry for both. Always enjoy the history WONDERFUL JOB MARIE! Every day cannot be the best finds. Thanks for the video PDs. Hey Marie, did Glen sleep good that night after you had him running up and down the stairs for awhile, lol? 👍🇦🇺
The thing that looked like it had snapped off something and had the ball on the end,I believe it's off a gate , it's hard to describe but IV seen it on a gate to horse field
Anywhere is worth a try...... we tried a new place 100 yard up from somewhere we done plenty of times...... never had much great...... this 100 yards up we are getting ww1 / ww2 stuff
🤗❄️
29:25 it’s a sprung gate latch.

The opening music is by. Karliene. The song is Walking with the devil.
Do they have a world War 2 museum
I'm intrigued about the future relating to the anchor I've often thought it would be wonderful to combine two of my passions, make boarding and magnet fixing fishing 🥹 Probably would not progress far down the cut though. Forever shopping to haul up the treasures😆
Nice find and I love 😍 the bridge 🌉, if you can 🥫 send me information about the bridge 🌉 I love it. John E.May from USA 🇺🇸.
