Well SM Almost never put Eng Sub.. Once they did its in english songs most of the time.. Why SM >=( Song is a bop. They were originally shoot the MV with Jessica..done.. But then she left and they re-shoot the whole MV. Btw SNSD has Tonsss of MVs.. And amazing live perf.. Will patiently waiting for those (and also TVXQs.. And EXOs.. Lol) And hyuna's earlier MV

BTW...the opening 'grungy' shots look like "The Bowery" district. I think it's Third Avenue, looking 'uptown' ( below Astor Place, above Houston St.), a neighborhood I used to frequent when I lived in Manhattan. My guess is this sequence was shot while SNSD was in the US in August 2014 during KCon activities at that time, as potential promotional footage which SM then decided to use ( it could have easily been discarded) .

FWIW the Japanese version is basically the same sets and same choreo, plus Jessica. This was _precisely_ when she was voted off the island. To think, SM was willing to reshoot the whole damn video in order to "unperson" her... _Her vocals are still recognizably in the song, particularly the ad-lib (not visibly covered by another member) at __8:00__!_
