You can pause a lot. It’s Dimash, who can resist the nerdy time. He is literally one in billions, not only because of raw talent that only appears once in blue moon but also his dedication to such talent is unparalleled. Countless of hours of practice cutting that talent into exquisite diamonds. Singing seems to nourish his soul and music seems to flow in his blood.

Following this young man for the last 7 years has been such a great privilege for me! I can't believe that I'm fortunate enough to be alive during this time in history. Dimash has forever changed my perspective of the possibilities in music. I honestly believe that, even though I won't see it in my lifetime, he will go down as one of the greats of all time like Mozart, etc...and it will be 100% deserved.

My mother passed away just a few months before I discovered Dimash!I wished so much for her to have experienced him in her life!!!! My heart is broken because my mother would have been overwhelmed with something so beautiful and to take to her grave. She loved Jesus and she would have had an emotional and spiritual awakening in a whole different form..

Absolutely! Dimash's performances have an incredible ability to captivate and immerse listeners entirely in the moment. It's a testament to his remarkable talent and the power of his artistry.

Hi! Dimash sang this song first in "The Singer", a Chinese tv show. That performance is very special because he was ill, no voice at all the day before the perfornance. He said he was very nervous but when he began to sing his voice was there, although he was in pain all song. And after finishing it, his voice dissapeared again. It is not so epic like this one, but I think it is even more emotional because the pain and the fragility was there in the maximum: his own pain and the boy's too. People cried in the audience! You can find the entire Dimash's part at this episode in Dimash Fanclub Germany, named Singer 2017 E08 - Daybreak - Full Version with English subtitles (10 minutes long). It really worth watching it even if you decide not to react to it. And one detail that makes Dimash so special as a person: although he definitely was in pain and worried about his performance, the first thing he said arriving to the set of the show were kind words of encouragement to the other contestant that was in danger of leaving the show... Who does that? Hug from Brazil.

Thank you, Carl. Dimash has rendered you, Wordsmith, running out of words. Yes, music is universal, and Dimash had said it himself that if you cut open his heart, you will find music. He is pure embodiment of music. There is no one like him and most likely no one else will ever be like him. Many may try, but Dimash is the only one. Loved your reaction. When he sings, he becomes the song with every ounce of himself. Fully emerced in the emotion and the meaning of the song, projecting it outward, so we can not only hear his voice and his emotion, but feel it in our heart and soul. I should always wait until the end of your reaction, ‘I just can’t deal with him!’ Cracks me up ! I loved the 2017 ‘I am Singer’ version but this one resonated with me more, so passionately portrayed ! You can even see the security guy turn around to look at Dimash ! By the way, there’s a couple of other reactors who love Dimash, Throga-Vocal Gym, of whom are going to see Dimash here soon. Then there’s JohnReavesLive who went to Hong Kong & was able to give Dimash a single rose, Dimash even acknowledged him on camera. They’re hooked up, great reactors, just like you !

I continue to watch your reactions because I really do love how much you appreciate Dimash's talent. Yes, pausing for copyright is necessary for reaction channel pausing as often as you do is not necessary for copyright and you have begun to pause more and more often as you do more and more reactions. You coming to you weren't sure how you were going to make it through the song. I would suggest you can make it through because there's no way you can get truly emotionally invested in a song when you pause it as often as you do because you take yourself out of the song every time you pause.

I agree with you. As much as I've genuinely appreciated all of Karl's analyses of Dimash up to now, I wasn't able to make it through this one. Pausing every 20 seconds utterly destroyed the trajectory of this song and performance. I've read his explanation for this new, most unwelcome, policy. If that's the future going forward, I will regretfully have to pass.

I agree there was too much explanation on this one, which destroyed the contintinuity. We, the Dears, have watched this b4 and it would have been good for you to not interrupt so much,it spoiled the impact I know you like to explain everything but sometimes more attention to the song, words and performance are required.. “Daybreak” - At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where many people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!
