That looks stupendously good! I make a mean apple strawberry raspberry and fresh pineapple crumble and make my own topping here in Dubai put porridge oats and crush some cashews in my crumble too. Bit butter in the fruit so it creates a butterscotch type juice and some brown sugar and vanilla pod. That’s proper custard there with the specks of vanilla. Glad you enjoyed it so much. You should get one or a few to take home ? 😊

How times have changed..in the not too distant past..tablets were used for toothache/headache..frozen custard would have been a kitchen disaster..and wooden spoons we're used for cake mixture..but crumble is crumble..and that looked 'the bee's knees..😋👍🤣

Hey DJ! What a delightful Vlog! Loving the statues everywhere! There’s nothing like simple puddings! I’d be spoilt for choice as I love apple crumble but love Rhubarb aswell. Also the dilemma. Cream, ice cream or custard as can have all with that. Love old school deserts Cornflake and coconut sponge. Jam Roly Poly and my absolute fav is - Spotted Dick. It’s the cinnamon and hint of spice in it. Lashings of custard and I’m done. Gotta love your facial expression. If we didn’t know you can tell how you feel about what you are eating. Take care 😘👍🏻

I have missed making my Apple & Blackberry crumble this Summer . As where i live there is abundance of apples & blackberries . As the blackberry has gone and the apple trees have been trimmed back . So i missed out on my 3 baked apple & blackberry crumble Darren.

You can't go wrong with apple crumble and custard. I make mine with added oats and use brown sugar (Dundee crumble), gives it that special crunch. Double cream or ice cream on the side are acceptable alternatives to custard.

Personally, it's my Grandma's Apple Crumble... but every man and his dog will (rightfully) argue that it's his Grandma's Apple Crumble that's better.
