I fully agree with Nancy suraj.mohammad Rafi is Mohammed Rafi.the pronunciation of jesudas 1st word bhagvan itself is different way of starting and there itself comparison drops to zero. Nearest to him I heard was coaching azad known at kochi as Mohammed Rafi and his singing of the above song is much better than jesudas.Unfortunately he passed away 2 yrs ago and we used to meet on Mohammed Rafi death anniversary on 31st July every year. It's wrong compare Jesudas and Rafi. Jesudas was trained in classical music. He has sung Rafi masterpiece as a tribute to him. Those days', that too soon partition, no one looked on Rafi as a Muslim singing in praise of Bagwan. The wise knew Hari and Allah meant God Almighty.

Yes, True. We know how Gods had difficult times on the earth when they are born here because of curse or other reason. Hence, the gods have accept the limitations of their present form on the earth. But Rafi case was that God himself was here and no question of making any even smallest error

बहुत दम लगाना पड़ रहा है राजसाहेब को इस गीत में और वह मेलोडी जिनके आवाज में रहती है जब स्लो सॉन्ग आते हैं या याची कर के गाने में जो मेलोडी है वह सब मेलोडी इस दुनिया के रखवाले में गायब है और यह सिर्फ खींच दान में लगे हुए हैं जहां मेलोडी खत्म होती दिखाई पड़ रही है इस तरह के गाने जो हाई पिच के हैं वह उदास के लिए नहीं है इसलिए भगवान ने रफी साहब को चुना था क्योंकि मेलोडी और ऊंचा पीस दोनों बकरा रखना कोई सहज खेल हाथ हाथ घूमने से और इधर उधर लटकने चटकाने से वह और नहीं बन पाता है जी दास जी ने को काफी मेहनत करना पड़ा है उनका इस तरह से बार बार हाथ चमकना शो कर रहा है की कितना भारी पड़ रहा है गाना उनके लिए येसुदास तो बहुत सीधे सरल और बिना स्टाइल दिए हुए लाइव शो देने के लिए जाने जाते हैं पर इसमें देखने से मालूम पड़ रहा है कि वह बहुत ही बेचैन मैं बार बार हाथ झटक रहे हैं ऊंचे और दिखाने के लिए की ऊंचा और गा सकते हैं पर फिर भी लास्ट में जाकर वह बात नहीं बनी है जो रफी साहब के गानों में है हम दोनों गानों को मिलिया रफी साहब का और लास्ट में ऊंचा से ऊंचा जाता है

येसु दासजीआप भी कमाल का गाया ये गीत बेशक रफी साहब ग्रेट है ये आपने साबीत किया ,आप भी कम नही आप को सलाम.

Composer (Mr. Naushad, Singers (Both Mr. Mohd. Rafi & Mr. Yesudas) are ALL Geniuses. Shame on those political leaders who are dividing India by provoking religious sentiments against each other. These songs are so sincerely composed and sung by Mr. Naushad & Mr. Rafi who were very religious Muslim in their personal lives (I believe Mr. Yesudas too) but when it came to deliver this song they were so sincere and they excelled beyond anyone's imagination. This song is over 70 years old. Yet no one has even come close to excelling anything even remotely close to this.

The pitch of last note of Rafi Gee Rakhwalay is beyond a human's approach. Yesudas sang Dunya ke rakhwalay using modern microphone and sound system. Amazing Rsfi standing there with his immortal voice signing this song with sensitive high quality song. What Rafi did in singing cannot be replicated or achieved by another singer.

Just listen to the way Rafi sahib and yesudas sir sing the word 'judai'. You will know the quality difference between these two singers... nobody can match the sweetness of yesudas Sir's voice in India.. even from France classical school people come to Kerala state to see where yesudas sir was born

@@a.m1829 Both were classical singers. Classical singing is different, wildly different. If you want to know, listen to Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saab.

It makes me shiver to see Rafi performing the work of that Muslim Trinity (Rafi-Naushad-Shakeel) of the best devout Hindu music in cinema all time, singing a song addressed to Bhagwan full of heartbreak. It is like Rafi coming through a time warp and SLAPPING the India of today. Yesudas does the best cover I've seen. He has the range and his own... texture, but this one by Rafi is near impossible to match. The flexibility and lightness of his voice as well as the power with that insane range is. This is a very very noteworthy cover. The Rafi part is an old DD recording. DD used to do good stuff once.

Is this your praise for Rafi sahab?? It's very cheap to comment like this for Great Rafi sahab. He's not like you or others. I don't think he would have ever felt like he was spreading secularism through his songs. He's singing for baiju bawra film and whatever he sang, sang from his heart and soul. A saint is singing just enjoy and please stop commenting like hindu-muslim.

It is a very emotional song, and Rafi has done great justice to it, as does Jesudas. That the trinity associated with the song are of muslim faith is a matter of great pride to all Indians, of whatever faith, or no faith at all. While there may be occasional communal incidents here and there, one has to admit that overall, India has stood by its secular ideals. That said, the song addresses no particular deity of any faith. Just the Gid almighty, even though in the film Baiju Bawra, it is sung, with the implication of a God of Hindu faith. The other famous bhajan by Rafi, 'man tarpath hari darshan ko aaj' does indeed address 'Hari'; and that is as impressive song as this one.
