Ogiek, Kenya: Showreel

This Ogiek showreel guides you through a series of films by our Ogiek partners. The Ogiek PV team began making films about their traditional practices such as beekeeping, archery, hut repair, nettles and about their struggle for land by documenting their community mapping project in Mt.Elgon area.
These videos remind us how humans are part of the ecosystem and how the Indigenous way of living harmoniously with nature sustains the healthy balance on earth.

Video communicates compelling stories and powerful actions of grassroots activists, increasing our partners' agency, capacity and confidence to take control of the factors influencing their lives. We work across four continents in critically endangered ecosystems supporting Indigenous Peoples to harness the power of participatory video against threats like climate change and mega development projects.
