a pleasure to help! 3.5 sits in the transmission and 3.5 quarts sits in the torque converter. So let the pan drain as i did and just replace the 3.5 quarts. If your fluid is really bad drive for a week and do it again to cycle the fluid out from the torque converter as well.

I have a 2006 saab 9-5 Is it the same amount of oil ? Also the first time that I take the dip-stick out it's full and then the second time that I clean it and put it back in it is low, can you help me out which is the right one, does the car have to be On warmed up or in neutral ? I checked the Instructions Manual but I couldnt find any information. Also my car is automatic does the amount of fluid that I need change, I also dont knowwhich type of fluid I need ? The information on fluid type IS in the manual. Near the back of the book. Or look it up online. Have the car warmed and running when checking the ATF. (I put mine in neutral) First pull of dipstick do not read. Just wipe and insert back. 2nd pull of dipstick you read. That is your level of fluid. If you are not sure about how much fluid to put in, you can always measure what you took out. Put in about the same and keep checking dipstick often to hit the correct level. Shampoo is for cleaning the hair. Conditioner is for softening. Rinse and repeat to desired affect. Hope this helps man

Why would it be jumpy mine is my bushes are fine all round but yea still kicks a little when gear selection

How many quarts of fluid fill the transmission?

Thank you so much for your videos. This was the plan today but I need any help if possible. The black piece and specifically the "housing" or plate near the drain plug is missing from my transmission, exposing the large gear wheel. It's been in for heavy service including rear seals, cat conv, bearings, support joint/arm, tensioner and filling of all fluids... since everything had to come off anyways which you know I'm sure and be replaced because it was old and off anyway, charged it payed it I want this car kept in the condition it is🤑🤮. Could be on the shop floor but that's obviously denied. I'm so sad for my '00 9-3 soft top and I pay to have it taken care of but I'm still searching for the work done. Do you know the part number by chance? Is this the bell housing plate? Thanks anyone.

Preferably, but the angle he was at is negligible. The fluid that sat at the back would be barely noticed with the new fluid.

I have been trying for days to locate the transmission dipstick on my 2008 9-3 aero. I have seen NOTHING green anywhere- even when lifted as some sites have mentioned. Just came across another thread that says this: " Draining ATF with on the '06 and newer cars. These cars do not use a dipstick or have a dip stick tube. Instead, the dip stick hole low on the case is filled with a threaded aluminum plug equipped with a T55 recess. NOT DRAIN YOUR ATF UNTIL YOU HAVE THIS PLUG OPENED! This plug is a challenge to remove, and draining your ATF before you have this plug removed might result in a dry transmission on a car that must now be towed to a Saab Tech for assistance. " I AM SO CONFUSED.. can you shed some light on this for me??

if it doesnt remove and you want to service you may need to pump fresh fluid back in. Not to sure, may have to do more research.

Bought a 2006 9-3 2.0 T...134k Automatic..selecting D car won't start out in low...I ha e to select manual low and after seed builds, shift back to auto...operates ok but hard shifts hard along with a clunking sound??? Can't locate trans fluid dip stick to check fluid level???: What the heck ??

An older video said that the exhaust gets very hot and he taped it to protect the transmission housing

Lol exact torque applied at 3:20..
