WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN" EVEN MEAN?!
Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this KZread name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

I've seen many reactions (even some from other dancers) to this Lisa performance and your reaction is by far THE best! You fully recognize just how intricate and difficult this entire dance routine is. So many just don't get it (of course, due in part to how easy Lisa makes everything look). There is another video that runs longer and shows Lisa collapsing to floor after this performance (and she admitted to the trainees of this show in another video she felt like vomiting and how tiring the entire routine is). She collapsed right after this dance. But she never let you see how tired she was. So professional.

Lisa said that she almost throw up doing the one take because the choreography was tiring 🥺 But watching the video, you can't really tell because the energy is superb ✨

The translation from the show really misled people to think she nearly fainted, plus people overexaggerated Lisa's comment. She just felt nauseous afterward, not almost fainted. LOL

Yes Lisa was very tired. There’s a clip showing her falling to the floor a few seconds after this. She even said that she felt like vomiting. The other dancers in the background were tired and one fell to the floor like she did. She’s insane

If you're interested check out Lisa's YES OK too. It's the dance for the previous season Handong was on. Just search Youth With You 2 YES OK. There's also a video of Handong dancing it.
With her body frame and length she really has to be so precise in order for everything to look perfect. Like you said, every little detail is caught, from fully extended fingers, perfect body rolls and waves, and then her facial expressions. Her dance ability and stage presence is beyond the limits of a written definition.

What makes me not take off my eyes to Lisa's dance is the every detail I see. It's like watching a scientific test where you got to analyze her moves but it's entertaining at the same time. No one can match her level of poise when dancing too.

This is 90/100 difficulty. 4 min straight one-take. And she was busy with the BP on-line concert at the time. Thus she dropped. You can compare her dance against trainees' version. Even the bow move in the intro is different. Find Liu Jun as he is also a choreogragher and you will see that his dance is closer to Lisa's version especially during the dance break part.

Because if you would react to YWY, I suggest watching Jun Liu and Liu Guanyou(Neil)'s performances because they're the best dancers in my opinion ! Jun Liu was from 1M Dance Studio and he choreographed some dances there. Liu Guanyou was from TOP Media and trained alongside MCND, a group you reacted to. TOP Bros are known for their dances and he is no exception!
