OG BMPCC + Cooke Mini S4/i (ft. Canon R5 and R5C)

Hey, y'all. Here's a montage of the original BMPCC lensed with a set of Cooke MiniS4/is. I think it's a great pair. I slightly wish the BMPCC had an S35 sized sensor. This one features some BTS shot with the Canon R5 and R5C also lensed with Cooke MiniS4/is.

For the longest time I have wanted to shoot Cooke SK4s on my OG, but the only lenses available for purchase have been a £23,500 set that is on sale everywhere but with no takers, which is more than a set of MiniS4's..

Lovely footage from a camera I still use on some of my projects. However, I noticed that you are not using lens support, unless the follow focus is enough. How heavy is this lens and how heavy of a lens can one use with this camera without lens support?

Thansk for watching! The nature of the PL mount is rock solid and the lens itself (3.5-3.8lbs) doesn’t need lens support. The support post is on the PL adapter which holds all of the lens’ weight.

@@colinthomas2525 I love it. I’ve even put an ARRI Alexa MiniLF on it with my Cookes. It was just as smooth. The max load is 80lbs. On the daily, I use a DanaDolly for work. I love that thing too but it’s unwieldy unless you have a crew; like we usually do.

Thanks for watching! The PL mount adapter has a rod support mounted to the 15mm rods. That is more than enough for the Cooke Minis. Now, if I had a Varotal, yes, I would have another support post mount towards the front of that lens.
