Deutsche Windtechnik has set up a helicopter service hub for multi-brand operations with the goal of increasing the production uptime of its customers' offshore wind farms, Service teams headed up by team leaders with turbine-specific expertise are deployed from there to carry out troubleshooting work.
The flexibility of the service technicians as well as the central location of the service hub reduce the deployment response times to every offshore wind farm in the North Sea.
