Great comparison and also nice to know about fit with a case installed - sadly kind of a deal breaker for the official dock.

I'm going to post a bit of compelling info for going with the Jsaux dock, if you wish to attach a external SSD and run windows 10 or 11 you will need the 100watts of power the Jsaux dock gives you or it will not output enough power to run the external drive in USB 3

Hello, I am having issues with this model. I have downloaded the firmware update but I'm still experiencing the screen flashing black at times, sometimes often - it's very annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Well I got the jsaux 603 .. for the low profile

i did the firmware update and it says device not found i have the first dock they came out with with 100mb ethernet

HB0702 is not listed anywhere on the site or the readme so I would guess no. It probably doesn't need an updated since HB0702 is a very new model.

i have HB0602 and it does not find the device when updating i have it plugged into usb c to usb c port.

This is why I only use consoles these days. You have to plug in an hdmi wire and configure things to get it to work? I did play with my friends and it is cool but I will take the switch any day. Great review!

You aren't wrong. To get the best performance out of AAA games like God of War takes some tweaking. I personally don't mind it so much and really enjoy the flexibility but it definitely isn't nearly as streamlined and focused as a true console experience.

@@arogantech when I had more time in my life I loved tweaking everything. Alas these are the days I just want things to work. A large part of my professional life was spent making devices connected to the Linux Desktop just work without driver installs or terminal commands. They could have at least put the plug on the bottom so it seats into a dock. I wonder if Nintendo has a patent on that.

The switch is eons ahead, I can't see any reason to get a steam deck. it seems like a headache to me !

just when you start games always play at the lowest graphics/display settings , this usually the default for most pc games.

Do you notice any input delay between the official and 3rd party?

Steam made sure that any dock can work the same don't buy cheap and get with hdmi 2.0 any less and you can only 30 fps on 4k tvs

I will cash app someone $50 if they show me how to connect a wired controller or keyboard straight to the official steam dock. It just doesn't work for me....help!!!
