Omar it also has issues with catalytic converters being choked up after 100000kms or so,

that was a great review Omar, I have this beauty, a 2009, 8 gen, it is drop dead gorgeous, once on the road every other car on the Indian road seems archaic. It runs fantastic on the 1800cc petrol ivtec with phenomenal stability (hands off the steering at 150 kph with no probs), nothing to beat it in any aspect. The hydraulic steering is a bit stiff and had the steering rack changed because of a minor leak but otherwise no other car as far as looks to come in the Indian market for another 5 yrs.

8th gen was the last my country saw of Civic (unfortunately), it came in 3 variants 1.8 EMT, 1.8VMT and 1.8 VAT.

@@Bamwheels 10th gen is being tested now in india and shall soon be offered again. they did not introduced 9th gen there rather upscaled the city variant and sold it as city is more loved in india than civic.

Very convincing video review... I'm still looking in Aug 2018.. so you are saying great issue in 2008 to 2009 so did they solved in 2009 above model...? Can we change power pump steering to Electrical power steering???

yes i have! it has a smooth drive and more features than the local ones. better fuel economy im getting 15km/L and the max speed ive gone on the car is 150kmph on S gear (sport gear) but i know it can do more than that when it's hybrid battery is charged fully :D

I have the only 2009 civic FD2 type r in my country. 0-100 speed run record can be found on my channel trailer. Love the car.. Never gonna let it go. Not sure whats going on with this one My car interior is all leather by default.

So when you are at a traffic light and leave the car in D while you stop it with brake your engine is in constant load, sort of like if you are in manual n keep clutch n brake engaged to keep the car at stop instead of putting in neutral. So instead of leaving in d n stopping with brake its better to put n neutral n pull the handbrake so the engine can also relax. It works in long run for the engine n brakepads both. This is why now some cars come with brake hold feature

i have 2007 Vti oriel. Love my civic but the issue not mentioned in video is poor ground clearence.Even if there are 2 or 3 people in the car,it will get hit below by almost every speed braker.

Funny Life boot capacity is huge ..same like corolla .. 0 to 100 is 10 seconds for the manual , 11 seconds for the automatic .. 2012 model price is about 1450000 lakh right now.

But it is possibel to retrofit cruise control, i think the meter has to be changed and the buttons have to be added and in case of non oriel models clock spring also has to be changed, has been done by a couple of pakistanis on pakwheels, they have fully documented it

Interior ugly? That's the best interior I have ever seen in corolla/civic class to date. Better than today's corolla and I am a corolla fan now by the way.
